I guess whoever wrote it spent the break queuing for one of the two toilets and so didn't really notice that it was a break!

It was a fantastic concert, though, wonderfully received, and as Tom would say - the largest gathering of Cohenistas this tour!!!!

There was pure joy between all of the band and Leonard. I particularly enjoyed the moment at the end when Alexander but a rose between his teeth and then looked kind of sheepish as Leonard came back on stage.

Also we got a lovely version of "Don't stop, don't ever stop' for Sharon and the Webb sisters at the end of Tower of Song with Leonard beautifully telling them how much he appreciates their work and that they helped him live with the imperfections of his own voice.

And the greeting at the start "I don't know when we'll see each other again; no one ever knows that for certain".

A wonderful evening with wonderful friends in a wonderful setting!

Great "alternative" setlist at the rehearsal: Dance Me, The Future, and then (I forgot order) Ain't No Cure for Love, Anthem, Choices, Democracy, Anyhow, Waiting for the Miracle, I Can't Forget and Light as the Breeze.

Soundcheck on Friday afternoon included Banks of Marble (Leonard solo on guitar), song performed in 1972!!! and BRAND NEW blues SONG which is apparently work in progress, the band jammed thru it 20 mins or so. Sound check ended with band playing Happy Birthday to you to Mitch Watkins, what's on You Tube.

Wow! that was so cool...Thanks Tom for your beautiful heart and reviews here and on Facebook. It seem the gathering of fans and the time in the beautiful city of Pula and then the incredibly magic of the concert was really something. Thanks to all of you for your comments and posts as it really means a lot to those of us not there. Photos and videos all make me feel Pula was a memorable event in so many ways.
We were there in spirit thinking of the concert in real time and I for one wish I had come to Pula. At least now I can live vicariously through all of you.
