PS: The way I stay on top of LC's comings and goings is Google Alerts. Not much will get past you if you put Leonard Cohen into the Google Alerts. You'll even get the latest on a lawyer and soccer player by the same name.

I think Bono is going to give the induction speech about Leonard Cohen at the rock hall. It's going to happen. I can feel it coming. March 2006 or 2007. Bono is known for giving long, descriptive, and eloquent induction speeches for his idols. His most recent one was for Bruce Springsteen.
This article clarifies that it was U2 visiting with the fans. Not sure how available Leonard was.
NEW YORK, NY Wednesday May.25.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Last Thursday (May 19) in New York, the band members of U2 got together with legendary singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen for a secret film shoot.
U2.com reports that Bono, Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. were at a burlesque venue in New York's lower East Side to do some filming for a Leonard Cohen documentary being made by director Lian Lunson.
U2 and Cohen met at The Slipper Room to record one of Cohen's classic tracks, "Tower of Song." When filming was done, U2 visited with fans waiting outside the club.
The 70-year-old Cohen has been a longtime friend of U2 and was spotted last month at a Vertigo show in Los Angeles. Bono's even recorded a cover of "Hallelujah," which can be heard on the Cohen tribute album "Tower of Song."
Good photos too. I note that Leonard has dispensed with the beard and looks less like grandad Cohen Quite suave in fact. A pity Bono couldn't be bothered to have a shave. This designer stubble is neither one thing nor the other!
'Looks like a bunch of rockers, those guys, LC included. Where is the monk? Where is the sage? And where is the Japonese Zen Master taking all the place in front of the picture?
it is hard to look beyond that sometimes. this collaboration speaks volumes of their legitimacy as a musical outfit that shows the proper respect to giants such as cohen.
A Tribute to the Giant, yes. But Cohen was always a rocker to me in some certain ways, so, no big surprise. It is amusing/amazing to see how he can pass from something like TNS and DH to this, persona included.
Leonard is successful in not allowing himself to be pigeonholed . Kudos, Leonard. Gorgeous photo of everyone! Great juxtaposition of Bono and Leonard. Positions, clothing, colours, hair, eyes, all of it. Class.
Oh! That is simply great! I love that - with Leonard looking upwards, looking somber and wise and in the background...shades and leather and cigarettes! That is so cool and yes, showbiz. Very nice, indeed!
Linda.
His new management has done some good work with Diana Krall and others. Very well connected and show biz all the way. This is really too cool! You're right Tchoco, I've always seen him as a 'rocker' or 'hipster' as well. What great photo!! I can't get over it.
