*whiskey*? the calumny! It was, of course, a bottle of whisky...

actually, there were no decent whiskies on offer, so Rob and I contented ourselves with Beer - Brains S.A, in fact. I'd prefer 'Reverend James' from the same Brewery, but I'm not fussy, which is just as well...

maybe one day I'll get to meet the mythical John of the shorts?

great to see Diane, Margaret and Rob though!

It was good to meet up again with old friends, and enjoy a few drinks and conversation.

A big thank you to Diane for her hospitality in giving Tim and I beds for the night and nourishment after our journey. Even a packed lunch for my homeward trip :D Thank you again Diane.

I had an excellent train journey both ways to Bridgend and back, with entertainment thrown in on my first ride provided by a real character on the crew of Arriva Trains who kept our carriage amused most of the way with his jokes and repartee.

Must try to arrange another meet later this year in the North West.

Sorry, Tim, it was a slip of the keyboard :P .

Dim problem o gwbl, Margaret! (no problem at all).

I am glad you are planting the idea into people's brains of a North West meet-up for later in the year. Perhaps we can make this a 'proper' meet. We will need people to attend, and maybe people who would like to perform  .

Dear All

My apologies for my (again) non attendance.

My mother passed away at the end of February and her funeral was Wednesday and, despite LC, I was too miserable to communicate with anyone.

Dear John,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of your Mother. Many condolences, and lots of love to you. I truly wish you had been with us, your grief and all, but I understand why you did not want to. We will see you next time.

Take good care of yourself.

Hugs (((John)))

Hello John.

I know how it feels and I cannot give you the correct words to make you feel better than you do. I hope you're taking one day at a time. Simply take one more day, one day more, and you'll get through it.

Regards...
