hi manna. i play the typical 5 string. i have two of them. one is a cheap johnson and the other is a decent fender banjo. you?

my favorite tuning is gCGCE. i hardly play in open g on it anymore. if i remember right you mentioned that you play clawhammer. my friend colin does too! i don't really play the scruggs style...but like a more primitive version of it. i play in syncopated bass rhythms that feel john fahey'esque to me. i am self taught on the banjo. but i've been into alternate tunings for a while on the guitar (especially open ones), so the banjo was a fun transition for me.

have been wasting my time doing silly things like working ... :( - never been off, just didn't post.
Now I'm on vacation for 3 weeks, some leisure to join you in case I'll find anything I like to add my blah to... :wink:
