This would seem to be the time for checking into one of those rail passes for the mainland.

*sigh* - Thank you so much for sharing those treasures with us, Idysseus!Idysseus wrote: In any case, he brought much light and laughter to my heart, and seemed to light up the entire room that night.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

I had the pleasure of being at this talk -- and yes, it was magical. I also saw the performance of the Glass piece the following night, and was captivated by that as well -- the poetry took on an entirely new spirit when done by Glass.
I was one of the voices of the thunderous applause at the tour announcement! So incredibly awe inspiring to sit and listen to LC talk, to be no more than 40 feet or so from him... mindblowing, really, as he is absolutely my all time musical/lyrical hero. I rather thought the skies might open up and all the angels sing (half kidding, half not)-- while that didn't quite happen, I did leave feeling incredibly blessed by having been able to be present.

BTW -- I'm not a new poster -- I lost my old log-in somehow, so I re-registered. that is actually for the best, because before I was using my whole name as my username, and google was linking to this forum when someone googled me (I'm a professor and an artist, so I get googled quite a bit)... I don't really need the whole world to know that I am posting on a fan forum, even if it IS about Leonard
