It seems that the advance ticket booking posts have morphed from gratitude to Leonard and his management and Jarkko into a boomlet of guests/new members and finally a Files/Forum feeding frenzy where everyone is concerned about getting/not getting tickets. I am hopeful that the rules regarding the advance distribution will be as "fair" as possible. I am worried that a "Hannah Montana" concert ticket madness might ensue. Undoubtedly, the end result will fall someplace between the extremes.

The next five days will feel like 500.

Hey, if the plan was to get people to actually join the forum, it worked. I've been reading the forum for tour news since I first found out Leonard might be coming our way (it's rare that anyone starts a tour in Atlantic Canada, let alone comes here in the first place). I signed up for the mailing list and was on the forum so often that I assumed I had signed up a while ago. I was wrong. Don't worry; I'm not a scalper or a ticketmonger, I just want two tickets for my wife and I to a show that hopefully will be held in Moncton, NB, Canada. Sure, this may be my first post, but it won't be my last. I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Just a short note to let you know that this thread is again visible to all who visit this forum.
Leonard's management decides how the advance ticket booking is going to happen, and I
will follow their advice. I have already mentioned in an earlier message that there will be no
selection between the members
, that would only generate resentment.

We will have more (general) information during the weekend.

The details will be announced on March 11, and the tickets will be available at later dates.
Probably the advance booking begins with the first Canadian venues, but that's only my
speculation for the present.

I just thought I'd post a bit of a note about my presence here, since there is quite obviously some distress among long time posters on this forum, and new faces who signed up because of the tour announcement.

Yes - I am here for information regarding the tour. I've been a longtime fan, and am proud to be second generation. I generally DO NOT join forums in the "fandom" of many artists. I lurk, I read and learn a lot. My experiences in various fan forums have not been pleasant, and I've been sickened by a lot of the "I've been here longer, I've got a fan page, I'm a true/loyal/real fan" attitudes expressed throughout the internet. I've got no interest in defending myself against any of these types of comments, nor will I. I am a fan of the artist, and the music, and not one single person has any idea how it makes me feel inside, previous participation or not. I don't have the ability to be online 24/7 in a forum environment. My mother doesn't have internet at all.

I'm thrilled to hear the upcoming tour news. I'm excited at the chance to get tickets to see Leonard. It may very well be the last chance my mother has to ever see him perform. I want to give that to her, no matter the cost. I want it for us both. If I'm able to do so by lurking and reading here for an advance purchase, I won't be guilted out of it by "true" fans who've been here longer. I also have no desire to argue and fight for tickets in any way shape or form. I plan to pay whatever it takes. If a fan club membership is required, I have absolutely no problem paying additional to get a chance at better tickets. Regardless, I'll be as happy in the back row as I will in the front - because I'll still be there.

My intent is certainly not to be negative. Since joining a few days ago, I've seen a lot of elation turn into negativity - and I'm certain that is not what the administrators of this forum want, and almost certain that Leonard wouldn't want that either. Be here for the music and the art, and let everything else fall by the wayside. Be grateful for the opportunity we're getting and don't let any of this crap sour what is going to be a great experience.

Good for you. Seldom do first-time posters 'sing it out' like you just did. I don't know what negativity has erupted lately, as I don't come by often anymore, but gee whiz! I'm going to look for it! :D

Loved your post.

Well, it didn't take long to find out what the hullabaloo is about. Geez, I'm divided. Actually, my opinion means nothing, what happens happens. Thanks to Leonard and management, as well as Jarkko for having to referee this mess.

There have been eruptions here before, and Leonard so very kindly made note of that, and urged solidarity, now this. He and his management make a generous offer, and this is how we act, like greedy little kids. Let the tix fall where they may. Although, I agree with Lizzy in that 'where was everyone when there was nothing to gain'?

Excellent! :D I so so hope that this is true! I had heard it said elsewhere on this forum that the rumoured June gig in Dublin for Leonard was too early...

The Great Ticket Debate

Post by Paula »

I will nail my colours to the mast and officially declare I am no longer involved in the great ticket debate. I am fed up with being accused of being something I am not.

I will just chance my luck with the agencies when they go on sale officially.

When was a very nice gesture from Leonard to the forum members is fast becoming something I want no part of. The long term members here do not deserve the shit that is being thrown at us.

We are not in distress or petty minded or spiteful or mean we are just people who have formed a bond both on and off the forum.

I hope the people that get the tickets enjoy them and thank you so much Leonard and Jarkko it really was a most wonderful gesture which is fast turning very sour and I know that is not what was intended.

Sorry Jarkko I think I posted the first one in the wrong section could you delete for me - Ta

Well it's up on Ticketmaster they way they normally prelaunch events. I would be absolutely amazed if Ticketmaster are playing silly beggars, they are no doubt too busy for that kind of thing.
All the best
