Well, firstly you have to go to the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham, not the former jail.
I was there in 2008 and it was a magical night, with fantastic sound, a beautiful setting and, of cource, LC thrilling and enchanting all present.
Yes, there was some people walking around but I did not find it disruptive due to the way the venue was laid out. (It is outdoor, so people walking around are nothing like as annoying as it would be in somewhere like the 02).

What views do people have on bringing cameras into the concerts. My tickets for Wed night are't great but I'm pretty close on Friday and Saturday night. What's other people doing?

I'm not there and partly because of that i hope plenty of people take cameras and camcorders in and use them !
i discretely shot over 2 hours of footage in ghent on the first night and wasn't told off.
Dublin concerts are special and need capturing for posterity

This is amazing.
Me&boyfriend had tickets for Leonard's concert in Berlin this year, but due to a horrible mix-up we couldn't go.
Now as I live next to Heuston Station/Dublin.. I listen to Leonard for free in my flat.. and will over next few days.

Last night, no problems with cameras. Wrap up well incl warm hat - its a bit exposed up there.
Must've been very cold on Stage - although Mr C ran around, like a newborn Spring lamb!
Suggest you get there early if you need food - there seemed to be queues
for everything, except the icecream van...... some of the Ladies resorted to using the Gents' - much quicker....initially!
The coffee vans were better as the mobile dispensers always seemed to be running out of water.
Bring a hip flask or even a wee rucksac with a flask of your favourite tipple!
Enjoy!

Thanks very much for the feedback. Ladies toilets are always an issue and i remember the ladies using the gents in Sligo until a very assertive steward was posted to watch for such crimes.Did anyone notice if the screen printed posters were on sale ?

yes. the screen printed posters were on sale. 20 euro a shot! We were at the concert on wednesday there was a lot of merchandise on sale. T. shirts around 35 euro. They dont take credit cards or laser only cash! Make sure you have cash as there are no ATMs! thats if you want to buy stuff.
Agree with food - dont rely on getting your supper there. took ages to get a hot coffee. Fish and chips took around 40 mns. we ate before at the Italian quarter near the luas in dublin. Really nice. Yes it gets cold by 8 o'clock even if the sun has been out up until 6pm. Warm hat and gloves a cert. I managed to go to the toilet 5 mns before break and it was a little easier. Even though you miss 5 mns of 'seeing lennie' you can hear the music all the time - worth it as the wait at break can be 20mns.
other than that - it was amazing to see him again.

Does the fact that it's freezing mean less of an issue with midges?

That's a fact, Kali. Poor buggers flying around with their family jewels frozen solid
