It is just hours before you take to the stage in Barcelona, my friends are there, amongst them, the woman I'm in love with. When you once again breath life into "Bird on the Wire", perhaps you will afford yourself a smile, it is the name I have given her (it's how we comunicate across the oceans). I met her on this forum and another lovely friend who I also met through this forum, Di, bought me the tie, sending it to me from the USA. I wore it today as a mark of respect. I am cutting it fine to post my missive because I have struggled to find words to adequately express the awe and delight with which you have thrilled me, over the years.

Sincerly Happy Brithday, and sincerely thank you for Manchester, London O2, both RAH shows in London, Weybridge, Belgrade, the forthcoming San Jose and all those times before that you don't know about. When I 'discovered' you 5 years ago in a hotel room in Mexico when I was 22, I never imagined I would be privileged enough to stand so close to you and enjoy your art.
