Amen to that mutti & Cheshire gal. I wrote much the same sort of thing a couple of weeks ago:

Maybe, just maybe, we can draw this to a conclusion now?

Yes I realize and appreciate that its just preference...but at one point I personally got so fed up and wanted to say
" quit your belly aching everyone..."
just be grateful for what we have now.

There is no mandatory requirement to read this thread. If you don't like it, don't read it. I don't think this thread will, or should, die until everyone has had a chance to see the new tour.

Quite right, Mary. With many threads on the forum I move on if I don't want to read them and probably do not even read 75% of threads as I know they will not interest me. That is not to say they won't be of interest to others but I certainly wouldn't feel right in telling Jarkko, or any other admin to shut any threads I felt should be closed, or even tell other members to move on and stop posting.

I just noticed on Facebook that Dino is back on tour with Lionel Richie. I may even go and see him & Lionel in Birmingham on October 26.

Forgive me -- I waded through most of the thread but I could not find the information. I was just wondering what the most recent official word from Dino or Leonard is on this issue.

Just heard the first 2012 performance of 'Ain't no cure for love' from Seattle
viewtopic.php?f=74&t=33049
Great performance even though the intro sounds very different without Dino's sax

I agree, "No Cure" without a sax is like "Dance Me" without a violin!

Funny really beacause this was the only track from I'm Your Man album that used a sax and even then, only for the intro.
But if we go along that line, has it ever been bettered, or will it ever be, without the superb pairing of Perla Batalla & Julie Christensen?

And in 1988 in Austin, no sax at all.........

Just a quick question that I am puzzled by, perhaps John E or someone else might know?
In the May of 1988 at the R.A.H both Vicomtesse and myself can't remember if a sax was used for the intro and the reason we are now unsure is that looking at the official programme that we have, there is no one down as a sax player, although Stephen Zirkal is down as trumpet but for the life of us, did he use a sax on one of those two nights, or?

Sax intros are very powerful and have a way of really defining the song, IMO. (e.g. Dire Straits's "Your Latest Trick")
