:?: :?: :?: :?: :?: I am confused. How is it possible to start a ticket sale without a confirmation by the managment?
And what happened to the Vienna venue? Is there anything certain???

This cannot be true :?

I was so delirious about going to the Berlin concert...

Jarkko, is there a chance that it still may happen - if not on the date planned, maybe later in the year?

According to the present plans the tour may continue in the fall. We don't have any details yet, and probably it will take quite a while until anything can be confirmed.

oh whow, did not see this coming - doh !

got ticket and also non-refundable flights some days ago, before i saw Jarkko's explicit warning

well, such is life (and Berlin is always worth a visit anyway) but i will still be waiting with bated breath about news on this concert.

Jarkko, as you also have got tickets for this concert, in your personal opinion, this was a legitimate promoter who jumped the gun and who is going to be returning our fees if this is cancelled ? or did we get scammed ?

and if we do not hear for a while, mind you, i was thinking, of the promoter sold all the tickets (20,000) at about 100 Euros each, that would be a nice little sum of Euro 2,000,000 sitting in their bank account, maybe for some months, waiting on news if the concert is going to be rescheduled or cancelled. all this scamming/touting/scalping business has got me a little paranoid i guess.

i am blessed though cos i have a ticket to manchester - i am feeling for all you guys out there whos ticket to Berlin is the only chance to see him - commiserations !!!!!

Loulou, I don't think we will have problems with the ticket refunds... things like this happen all the time (during the past two years I have got refunds here in Finland for three concerts that were cancelled). The seller is an official one - maybe they just opened the booking too early, before everything was 100 % confirmed. I think we will get some advice how to proceed. -- There is also the other way (although I do NOT think we'll need to turn to it): if an order is not delivered (or service is not carried out because the seller is not able to do it ) and it was paid by VISA (etc.), the credit card company will refund the amount on application.

All ticketshops are still selling tickets for the Berlin show and Leonard Cohen is No.3 of Top Sellers.

I can't believe this!
Especially for concerts regarding an artist, where you have to buy your tickets really early to be not forced to get them from touts, this is a very bad thing... Imagine, you have your Berlin-tickets nicely packed at home, not caring for all the other shows to happen - and then it is cancelled and you find out that all other concerts near to you are already sold out. No fair...

Being in a bad state recently, I finally still managed to get me tickets for Berlin, struggled at work for getting vacation at that time of year and just began to realize that I'll be actually seeing LC for the first time in my life... a feeling I don't have words for and surely don't need to explain to anyone over here...

I'm so disappointed.

Why do they start to sell tickets if the concert has not been confirmed by the tour management?
Do they think once they got the fans they have better chances to get the singer?

For me Berlin would have been the only chance to see him.
I was so glad, there was gonna be a concert and so happy I was gonna see him.
And now it's very likely that it is never gonna happen. I'm dissapointed and sad.

Eva Maria and everyone else who was looking forward to Berlin,

Perhaps it would be an option to head for Lörrach?
It's on a Friday, it's a standing concert, and there are still some tickets available at http://www.stimmen.com

All the best,
Heike

Oh - I'm surprised, 'cause the venue is only available in the summer and I'm sure the concert agency is mostly interested in selling tickets for a concert that will happen. So, I hope that we just have to be patient (at least, like Jarkko wrote, ticket refund will be not the problem, the tickets are sold by every normal ticket office and cancelled concerts are just part of the business). As far as I can see, the tickets are going very well, and it's a big venue (about 22.000) - reminded that this tour has also a financial aspect I hope that this point will also be important. I got tickets for Lörrach before Berlin even was announced, first thought it would be a little bit to impatient, but now it let's me breathe a little bit slower. If you're taking a flight to Basel and take the train, it's possible. Puuh, can hardly think of anything else ...

Unfortunately Lörrach is no option for me. If it would be I would have already bought tickets.
I was so glad there was going to be a concert in Berlin, as I can't visit any of the other concerts announced so far. :-(
