Leonard Cohen gigs Cologne and Berlin confirmed!

JARKKO - this is excellent, completely unexpected, great, great news! I would have gone all the way to New York just for another concert - and now Leonard even comes right to my front door! I even managed to get good seats for Cologne a minute ago- left block in front of the stage, 2nd row - and I am SO excited! Thanks!!

what a different experience getting tickets for this event has been compared to the chaotic and frustrating scenes which always seem to accompany any attempt to secure seats via Ticketmaster!

It was ME who informed for first in this purpose! Namely right after having received the newsletter by Eventim.de this afternoon! Even before this new chapter The Summer Tour in Europe 2009 was opened - I posted it on NEWS and then jarkko opened the chapter later on.

So you say THANKS to the wrong person, ma'am! And I wanna clear this fact!

Ok, faithfully, you are correct: So thank you very, very much for the announcement and Jarkko for everything else he does for us Cohenites, for the files and the forum are the most amazing job you can imagine... Do you prefer it like this? If you are in Cologne, I will treat you to a beer; but I do not drink or even buy horrible "Koelsch" as a matter of principle, so we'll see!

thanks Jarkko for your reply to eventim/Berlin last year. Regarding 'cancellation', yes it is correct to say that the concert was not confirmed and eventim sold tickets for a tentative and not confirmed concert. From the perspective a fan who has booked, paid for and received a ticket though, 'cancelled' seems apt. But I appreciate though the point that it was not Leonard or his managements & tour managers fault.

I still do find it unethical for eventim to AGAIN sell tickets for what appears again a tentative and unconfirmed concert (and not .refund all the costs when they get it wrong).

I am already getting nervous, because there are SOME July concerts mentioned on the Arena site - but Leonard is not on there! Also Eventim cryptically states right now that Cologne tickets are "not available for the moment"... I hate what these things do to me!

The name is differnt from what I can see on the eventim.de-Link. Thought they changed its name, maybe??? As the Forum in Milan is having different name ALL THE TIME. First Filaforum, then Forum, now DutchForum - when CohenForum? LOL Ah no, we already have a CohenForum, this one!

Been to the Kölnerena once, and I wonder if you were there, too. That was Helloween 2003 but not for a Halloween Party but for this man!

Phew, Cologne back on sale at Eventim, too! Sorry, I will not keep up looking - partly because it is far too stressful, for me and for other people; I trust if there is anything definite about the concert not taking place, we will hear it soon enough from our great "master of the files" (as faithfully has put it!).
