This apparently has become the standard procedure when meeting Mr. Cohen  Loved your story - thank you so much for sharing!

Best regards,

Please note that management has organized the tours as closed tours - meaning that Leonard does not meet friends, family, press, celebrities other poets or authors while on the road -- in order to assure that he has the rest necessary to support his three and one-half hour shows. Thanks to all for understanding our policy and helping us fuel the tour with needed silence rather than additional stress.

One notes the barricades have been breached, and, as everybody knows, it's a slippery slope from allowing surprise visits from former heads of states who are also cultural and political heroes to permitting riffraff like psychiatrists who are also Cohencentric bloggers to meander backstage to chat with LC before concerts.

Allan,

Perhaps you should consider changing your name to Dalai Llama, or Jimmy Carter, or........

Consider, too, Allan, that you have already met Leonard... whereas, Leonard had been wanting to meet Lech many decades ago, and were it not for that bloody house arrest, hopefully would have. For Leonard to have acquired the world status that Lech now boldly seeks him out is such a high honour for Leonard... thankfully, there was a fitting breach. Not that he wouldn't have at the time, but he surely did now. A satisfying meeting for both of them!

[And I'd say Dalai Lama is your best bet.]

Not sure whether this is the right place to ask, but here goes anyway... on 12th November the show was being filmed - was it for Tv, a video or DVD: does anyone know how to buy a copy and when it will be available?
2nd question: the latest CD is not yet on iTunes as far as I can find - what is it called?

LOVED the concert, the sound was superb and the performance brilliant - long life to Leonard.

Every show is filmed, thats how they get the pictures on the big screen.
