he should have been in the walk of fame years ago, and been invited to the white house, and had a nobel literary prize, not to mention a life-size wax figure in london's madame tussaud's. what did he do wrong?

I completely agree Geoffrey. It really is amazing that he has not been fully recognized, especially in Canada.
Seems like he has done everything right to me.
