I have just tried the link to Lucca ticket sellers on the forum and it says no tickets are available.
However if you google Ticketone, the people selling the tickets, you can click on the interactive map and get tickets.
Above where it lets you click on the tickets you want, it says 'best seat booking' or 'booking based on seating'.
If you click on 'booking based on seating' you can see the seat plan, zoom in, and choose your seats.

I have last night updated the link in the first message to the current one. We were told that the presale link will work also for the public sale, but it didn't. The new link was easy to find, I just went to the front page of www.ticketone.it and searched for LC.

I was looking for London but then saw Lucca. Lucca looks to be more my kind of destination.

They serve many snacks.
There is an interesting pastry with cheese: 'I'm your flan'.

Does anyone know when Ticketone will send out the tickets for the Lucca concert?

Just be patient please, Ticketone is quite slow....but don't worry, the concert is in July! We have time to get the ticket (I'll take it on the place...delivery cost is too high..)....

Help from someone familiar with Florence would be appreciated.

We are planning a vacation around the Lucca concert and will be spending several days in Florence before moving on to Lucca. A hotel called Mulino intrigues us and gets nice reviews. It is a rehabilitated mill about 5 miles west of center Florence right on the Arno. Location is very charming, and it offers periodic shuttle busses to/from Florence, but we would need to take taxi back to hotel when we eat dinner in Florence as last shuttle back leaves too early. If you know anything about taxis in Florence (availability in evening for rides out of city, costs, is fare same regardless of # of passengers), we would very much appreciate your input.

Any "inside tips" on hotels/apartments in Florence are also welcomed.

I suggest for the Lucca concert people to stay as near as possibile to the centre.

In 2008 those staying in Florence had to take a taxi after the concert, as the concert was over after midnight and the last bus to Florence did not wait for the people who attended the concert and went back to Florence leaving all the "Florence people" in Lucca. So they had to pay a lot to get to Florence by taxi and those living in Lucca did not find any taxi to get back to their places, as most of the taxis have been on the way to Florence...Lucca is small and not many taxis....Plan well
It was a chaos after the concert...we had to walk in Lucca a long way as there was no taxi, than luckily at some point we found one for the last 2 km.....but it was a nice summer evening with Leonard in Piazza Napoleone
