Well, that explains half of it, thank you Lizzy. The origin of these 'flippant, insultingly-suggestive remarks about you in the third person' is a mystery and shall remain so, and you shouldn't feel singled out by them as make them about nearly everyone, bad, hypocritical person that I am.

Right, that's it, I'm now definitely off for the weekend. See some of you online on Monday, no doubt.

How you are with 'nearly everyone' doesn't concern me, Tim. My feelings are based on how someone is with me. So, how you feel I "should" or "shouldn't" feel is irrelevant. I'm not amused. I resent it.

The big "mystery" has to do with the gang[-up] mentality, when you already know you have a ready, willing, and sarcastic, hyperbolic partner for [yes, hypocritically] joining up in making the same, other person the brunt......even to the extent that you parrot/paraphrase his self-reference, "bad, hypocritical person [boy] that I am;" stating rather than questioning. Hilarity continues  . Teenage years. That's where it comes from. Perhaps, that yellow car avatar says more about you than you ever intended. Mystery solved ~ you're welcome for the second half.

Obviously  , you're also tone deaf.

Some lessons don't require beating about the head. Assault of the eyes and sensibilities is enough.

For pity's sake, will you lot carry on your conversation in the bloody chatroom.

This thread is for matters not pertaining to anything else!!! And you're talking about something. This will no do.

Albert is stamping his paw in frustration at the way this thread has been hijacked by the Free Holland Movement, masquerading as quiet, gentle well-mannered boys and girls.

I want to post an extensive missive about nothing in particular and you lot are clogging up me screen.

 Thanks for the laff, Byron. There are times when interjecting with irreverence for diversion can be considered somewhere near appropriate. This happens to be one, with the way you did it. However, Continuation in the Chatroom isn't an option. That's where the conversation or exchange won't be picked up, again. If crippling from carpal tunnel is in my future, it needs to be worthwhile ~ on some level. What's to be said will be said here, or nowhere at all; and the window of time here is limited, too.

Since one party has departed for the weekend ~ and who cares [did I say who cares? surely I meant who knows] where/when the other one will reappear. So, go for it with a clear screen. [Do you see me stepping aside? Or, should I use more of my gross motor skills?]

Hi Paula. You OK for the meet on 7th Jan? Looking forward to meeting you there if so. I have twigged you are a quiz-type person and wondered if you'd care to volunteer to do one on the night for us - see gatherings thread.

See you later,

Diane

Hi John, fancy meeting you here. I was about to close the computer down and I spotted you.

Well, it may look like it's in the wrong thread, but I wanted to catch Paula when I saw here as I didn't know whether she was following the gatherings thread at the mo.

OK?

Of course it's okay with me but I don't want Albert upset by talking about something in a section where you talk about anything not connected to something

Paula

BTW - Hi, hope that we do see you on 7th Jan (Sorry Albert)

John! You've signed yourself as Paula. Are you the same person and you've made a blunder? All these multiple identities are very confusing.

Tell Albert I'm sorry about putting things in the wrong place and talking about things not connected to anythng else. Trouble is, I've always been like this and I don't know how to change.

Must dash, bike ride to make.

I've noticed that likeness between you two, too [though not tutu, as in Desmond or dance  ]. It's really quite lovely :D .
