May 13th: Leonard and Anjani Live in Toronto
Margaret and other beautiful losers: There will be 1000 copies soon plus the ones he signs in Montreal and the ones he gives away. In a few months maybe 100 of them will show up on Ebay. Over time even more. Keep your eye out.
Tchoch: Everyone knows the dice was loaded and the game was fixed. The book stores "good" customers and "A" lists here and there were e-mailed in advance,
Having a signed book is like talking to a human being instead of a recorded message. It's kind of nice, and book dealers inflate the price because of the rarity. That's why the rush for them. But it'kind of nuts.

Hi Light! Having a signed book ordered by e-mail - Oh! Geez, I don't want to be the dimer of joy for people who will put their hands on those 1000 signed copies, no no - is not exactly the idea I have of having a book signed by the author. Why not having a special page signed and printed with all the books, then? Seems like all recorded messages to me. Now, I know, I know it makes those 1000 copies collection items, and some people like to collect things. Good for every one involved. Yes. A game is game and fun has no price. As long as eveybody has fun.
This note has been received from Indigo today:
We appreciate hearing from our customers and value the information and feedback that we receive.
The first 1000 people to pre-order "Book of Longing" will receive a signed
First Edition of the "Book of Longing". It is not necessary to be present at
our flagship Indigo location at Bay and Bloor in Toronto to receive this very special item; only those who have taken advantage of this special online offer will be able to receive a signed copy.

Just toOooo bad Wijbe... tsk tsk. When we think that Ottawa is doing each year its big Tulip festival - a gift from Holland - around the parliament, we wonder for what exactly, yes, why, CA's diplomats are paid for.... sigh.
Well try there and have consolation price : save 10 bucks (bocks? boxes?
slang 101 manual where are you?)

Margaret, I have just ordered online also. Havent received any email yet, I'll keep you posted.
Anne, are you thinking of overnighting outside Indigo?? Why don't you just go the store manager and tell him/her that Leonard asked you to meet him there. I would have though that anyone who was at the promo night should get closer to the front
Let us know how it goes
All the best
