I am looking for the transcription of an interview, or the title of the book in which the interview can be found, with LC dating from the 80s or 90s. The book was published in Canada and was a collection of radio interviews conducted by a CBC radio personality (CBC Ottawa?) . I cannot recall the author's name or the book's title. Perhaps the interview is transcribed and appears within this site, thought I haven't found it.

Apart from also being one of my favourite lines, I read recently that one of our contemporary high profile Australian artists (Robert Owen), who met Cohen on Hydra whilst they were residents there in 1963, has the recurring theme in his artwork of "bringing light out of darkness" and that he also loves this Cohen line. (No surprise there!
)
Not to double up though, I'd have to say that other favourite LC lines of mine are from 'Waiting For The Miracle':
"The Maestro says it's Mozart

I have spent some time on Hydra, the first time before I knew of the existence of Leonard Cohen. Beautiful place, beautiful harbor. I was sorry to miss the Hydra event.
I also am partial to "Democracy Is Coming to the USA." Unfortunately these days "Democracy Has Left the Building" is a more accurate line. Here's hoping against hope that disaster does not await us (as a global community) imminently.
