How much of this talk about attending this concert is serious? As I plan to attend it would be great to meet with you very fine folk who are also planning on going. Also if there is any interest in any of you people making Montreal one of the stops along the way to or from the concert I would be more than happy to host a party.

I hosted one after the Montreal gathering and I think that everyone had a wonderful time. It would be at a place on a lake with canoes and full moons and northern lights and stillness and other stuff.

It is also not out of the question to host the party in Toronto if that would be the preference.

Please let me know if my proposals match with anyone's interest.

I know I'm serious about going. Hotel reservations are made. Will be making plane reservations and buying tickets as soon as possible.

Will arrive in Toronto sometime in the morning/midday of the 1st and leaving sometime on the 3rd. My friend is driving, so according to what her preferences are, I'll be interested if she is... depending on what date you're thinking of.

Not sure about Montreal as another destination, as I need to return to Michigan to visit with my Mom before [hopefully!] going on to Hydra in some kind of way [return to Florida and fly out from here... fly out of Toronto... fly out of Flint or Detroit ~ need to figure what's most cost effective, as my return trip needs to be figured in, as well]. The time elements, in any case, may easily interfere with whatever time frame you have in mind for your informal gathering at your or someone else's house.

I have a feeling that there are enough 'old timers' in the vicinity of this event, though, that you should have no problem garnering interest for a party.

Not that I've heard of, Jack, but then I'm not an oldtimer, either... in the sense I'm using it, anyway. When Dick, Joe, and/or Vern come along here, they'll probably have something to say.

Jack,

I would love to meet you on my next trip to Canada, but unfortunately can't make it this coming June. Hope to combine the Edmonton event next year with some time in Montreal. I'm sure a party of some description is being arranged on another thread for this year. I'll be with you in spirit.

Pete I believe the pre-concert talk will be at the etiquette of pop corn versa peashooter as a method of gaining someone’s attention during said concert.

I myself will come armed to the teeth with elastic bands and ink soaked pellets. I just find with the ink soaked pellets it is a lot easier to see if you have attracted the correct persons attention as of course the problem with both popcorn and peashooter is there is no actual colouring marking. Although of course the trajectory is more true with the peashooter, popcorn being more light weight and prone to amble off in different directions.

It is obviously just a suggestion you take your own weapon of choice obviously myself Pete and Margaret can also make use of water bombs as we are sitting behind you Diane but I suppose with a bit of imagination you could make some sort of Heath Robinson effect pea type shooter with a periscope.

You've got my vote, Paula... and thanks for the ink-soak tip. The plot thickens, eh, Pete  ? The ink-smeared stage for 'Leonard's' dancers to slide about on.

This talk of peashooters, popcorn missiles and insoaked pellets and waterbombs has fended off the invaders. Well done, Paula. Your training has paid off.

'amble off in different directions'? I think you've been using the wrong popcorn.
I notice Diane was secretive about her actual seat location. I think she will be coming in disguise now for fear of arial bombardment.
BTW I hope Philip Glass isn't reading this.

Whew. That sure would have been an uncomfortable proposition trying to take them all back  .

Much obliged, Pete.
