The Manchester Gallery will be producing its own catalogue and posters for when the exhibition opens, so they tell me.

Hi Margaret,

Do you know if they'll have signed posters for the Manchester exhibit. They're out of the signed posters here. The signed catalogues are $75. and the unsigned $25 - the unsigned poster $15. Canadian dollars, natch. And of course tack on the tax and all.

Tks.

I'm intending to buy in Manchester (on the plastic but so what?!!!) - which gets you an entrance to the private view which Leonard will be attending so hopefully I get to meet the man himself ( and yes if I do I will unashamedly thrust a demo of my songs into his hand)

the price of art is generally what the market will bear and the prices seem OK to me

Linda,

The last email just informed me they would have their own catalogue for the show. There was no information on cost yet or if any were signed. I am on their mailing list for information about the opening but no date is announced yet for Leonard's appearance. I'll take my chances if I get an invite for that day, but won't be paying nearly £1000 for a small print just to meet the man. If I get lucky for that day I'll be buying the more affordable catalogue and a bonus would be to ask him to sign it personally 8)

Let me know if you would like me to get an extra catalogue or poster for you. :)

Thank you all for the info. I know I shouldn't go all ga-ga over signed or unsigned posters and catalogues. Still, there is something attached to that man I cannot unattach (that's not a word, but I stand by it 8) Having already procured a sign., I might just go for a poster and unsigned cat. here. Oh, but the joy of having a signed poster! (oh, the joy of having it matted, and framed! $$$$ :))

Thanks again for your info. and I shall be in touch if I require yet more.

Enjoy the show. Am I jealous??? Nah....

Much as I understand the intention, don't you think that's a bit rude? Not necessarily to Leonard, who I'm sure will be gracious and polite, but to the Gallery. It is, after all, an art exhibition and not a meet and greet, as such.

I'm hoping to be there, anyhoot....

Well Kris Kristofferson flew a helicopter into Johnny Cash's backyard with a demo of his songs which was really rude if you think about it...but I am glad he did!

I hope all who want something get something at a reasonable price. Good luck Secretchord if you don't get to thrust it into his hand send it to him.

Thanks for the info Linda. Would have liked to have nabbed one of the signed posters. Hope you got what you wanted.

Eric.

Just out of interest, has anyone who isn't buying managed to get an invitation for this launch?
