I don't think there is video of please don't pass me by from Leonard but Zachary Oberzan does a wonderful version of it, and it's on Youtube.

Lightning's notes: Lament of a blind New York City beggar chanted and set to music by Leonard Cohen.Finale of "I'm the Man who Wrote Suzanne" Zachary Oberzan of New York together with Isbelle Marceau of Montreal and company.
Absolutely terrific, Lightning!!! Isbelle's group as it kept growing, fantastic....... thank you SO much for posting that. That song is so in my head with Leonard's voice but still I loved it... and hey, the egg, that's about the only thing I can manage musically.

What a song! There but for the grace.....

Thanks for the posts, Ligthning.
My request is probably is in the wrong thread, but these highlights reminded me that I have been looking for Bird on a Wire for more than 30 years (It had been played at Le Grand Rex in Paris in 1974). If someone is ready to trade it with me, that would be a great moment for me. I can propose a several bootlegs (in fact my small 10 cd's collection started in this place). Pls don't hesitate to send me a pm. Thanks anyway for these moments of emotion.
Sorry for my uncontroled enthousiasm.
