The mountain fir trees still
like the waiting soldiers
will they die or will they live

you cant raise the dead
with spangled banner
soaked with broken mothers screams
love is not forgotten......

two hearts,two entwined
ever loving,everthing combined
forever in moonlite

cabin fever,warm fire
snow falling,within desire
yes,its valentine

a bunch of roses
chocolates filled with srawberries
a kiss for a smile
love is not forgotten......

Our dark and
Groping world ,Where we stutter
And we stammer.

Its time to
Come together,Through the silence
Of our tears.

Let this whisper
Be heard through sirens ,And the screams
Of falling bombs.

Lets embrace
both rich and poor,His crazy
Dream of love.
love is not forgotten......

jimbo, I have been lurking like a 'lurkist,' as you've progressed through this haiku thread. By the way, I like to change verbs into nouns by adding 'ist' on the end of the verb. I get some fun from it.

Anyway, back to the point of my contribution. If you read again the pieces that you began to add into this thread, many, many years ago, in a galaxy far, far away, you'll be able to begin the process of watching just how much you have developed your writing, thinking, haiku skills.

Writing a haiku requires immense concentration to par it down to the absolute minimal, whilst giving the reader the most expressive image, senses, sounds, sights, feelings, possible from so few words.

You are clearly enjoying the exercise and the rewards are self evident, for you personally, and for us as recipients.

;-) :) Just thought I'd mention it.
"Bipolar is a roller-coaster ride without a seat belt. One day you're flying with the fireworks; for the next month you're being scraped off the trolley" I said that.

Perfect moon tonight
the clouds are shadow dancing now
on our country lake

makes echoes of past
wonderful memories with dad
come alive again

fishing on our boat
in late spring with our dog goldie
silence unbroken

but for the splashing
of our captured native brown trout
chasing our may flies

we had caught supper
our camp fire was slowly burning
frying pan sizzling

baby potatoes
and fried Irish greens in butter
and of course the trout....
..
our supper was served.
On fancy plates made of pewter
and stories were told

before bed;
love is not forgotten......

When comes
the storm of magnitude
you dread

sweeping up
the spirit of humanity
from bed

you can
baton down your hatch
and hide

but best
in grass you stay
with leaves

your pillow
made from moss
dont fear

in company
of ants an bees
you find

the oassis
of your heart,
not death

no need,
your loved ones
not apart
love is not forgotten......

Let us fish alone
on your sweetest shore of youth
with your brothers ghosts

where you lived for years
with your big family of twelve
fishing for your food

you worked for farmers
you played hopscotch at the cross
and your father watched

we'll fish again soon
up at the devils elbow
and catch that monster

ill pack the lunch
love is not forgotten......

If its love
You want
Ive got it all,

a pleasent walk
just holding hands
a stroll through
country woods

or gaze into each
others eyes
dance bare footed
in the salty sand.
Of paradise

I can make you laugh
and watch the sun go
down and rise on the morning
dew as the swallows fly

enjoy..................
love is not forgotten......

I like this James. Very interesting style how each verse grows.
