Hello GeorgeThomas. Your post made me laugh. Sounds a little bit like my husband and me. We will be in Verona for our first ever LC concert. Hope to see you at one of the meet-ups.

I was truly bowled over by his sincerity and obvious delight with the audience reactions when I saw him a couple of times on the last tour.
I'd just like to add a mention of the musicians who tour with him, he is able to assemble artists who mesh together seamlessly and are able to spin their own webb of interpretation to surround and support Leonard's voice whilst keeping their individual inspired performances yet it's never a stage of competing egos.
A great description of how it is seeing them in concert, George.
Welcome from me, too :D ... and, hopefully, in Verona, I'll meet both you and your wife.

Hallo, I'm from Madrid ( Spain ). The only thing I can say is ...I love Leonard, his music, his poetry, and everything he represents. For me is a living legend and I can't wait to see him in Madrid next October.
I'm very glad to know all of you, thank you for all your work.
Nice to meet you all!

Well, apparently no one's taken the reins on that one, yet, Garcia.
How well do you know Madrid ;-) ?
We typically have one before/after/both each concert.
When I went to give you the link, I found there hasn't been one put up, yet... i.e. for a count of how many are interested in attending.
All we need is a count, a place, and a reservation... preferably fairly close to the venue.
Do you know of anything that might fit, say, I really don't know... under 30 people?

OMG - it's so wonderful to see everyone introducing themselves. Maybe I'm wrong, but I did not see this type of reaction at the start of his last tour. This is fantastic - welcome everyone!

Warmest regards,
Mary

Hi, I just registered to the forum today, although I've been lurking for some time. I am such a fan and have never had an opportunity to attend an LC concert. But this year, I plan to change that. Hoping to get to the Austin or Denver show. Actually, I do believe I will travel anywhere to catch a N America concert.

Welcome to the Forum, Grace, and I sure hope you'll be able to see at LEAST one concert.
Once you've been to one, you will always want to go back!
Austin... Denver... how I wish I could just keep going and going with these, but I can't!
Austin should be great!
Do whatever you must to ensure that you get to see him, Grace... your memories will literally last your lifetime.
And so will some of the friendships you will inevitably make.
Thanks for introducing yourself :)

Lizzy, Thanks for the welcome. I've been reading everything I can on this forum to assure I get a presale ticket. I guess I just need to get here early and hope for the best. I am in my 60's and this will be my first LC concert.

I am hoping to get a ticket for the Austin concert. I live in New Mexico, so second choice would be Denver. I'm wondering how to find out if forum folks will be meeting up pre-concerts.

They will be, Grace, rest assured of that! The gathering info will appear in a thread up in the News section, relative to the concerts. Such a great 60th birthday present to yourself! One to last a lifetime!

Hi all. I am also a newbie to the forum, but a long time fan of LC. From the first time I heard 'Hey That's No Way To Say Goodbye' in ?1967/68 when I was a schoolgirl, until now (rapidly heading towards retirement), I have loved his words and his music. I saw him twice on the last tour and both times were wonderful. I am still hopeful that I will see him this year, but sadly the logistics are proving a bit tricky. To all you lucky people who are ticketed and sorted - have a wonderful time. M
