Lz, it is not exactly that I feel "under attack". I just have enough of the culture of forums at the state they are now, as I described it in my previous post. Nothing more, nothing less.

For example, I said thank you to Snow 2 times for his concern but you did not remark it. I do believe that he is NOT doing a great service by posting panic posts. In an airplane in jeopardy, even if nobody knows if the plane will crash or not, the most important thing is not to panic. In any dangerous situation this is the right thing to do, even more when a danger can be avoid by keeping our cool and doing the right thing to save our life (be it change our hygienic habits and/or call to the authorities to some social mesures of some sorts) . It is not a personal attack against Snow. I still can not understand how it could be seen as if. I'm tired of those kind of post that jump to false conclusion and the amount of time I have to deserve to explain my intention.

"For awhile, there was a great deal of INTENSITY here due to four women + a couple men here [no names necessary], none of them amongst the newcomers."

I don't even know what you mean, dear. It does not matter.

I would like right now to mix with people to take time to really try to link better with each others. It is my problem. So. It is really time that I take a break of all this, you see. Take no offense. And. Take care. (don't worry, be happy  )

Hi Tchoc ~

I'm sorry if I missed your simple "thank you"s to Snow and failed to comment on that now. At the time, it seemed that your thank you's were more in the pattern of "thank you, but . . . ," which undermined the thank-you portions. If there were two, unfettered, stand-alone thank you's, I'm glad and say so now. Yes, I know what you're saying regarding not panicking, and how important it is not to do that. I'm just not sure how a person would go about warning people of a genuinely-perceived, impending danger, without seeming like they were panicking. Warnings generally aren't given in casual terms. So, I don't know. The polarity between your [Mirek's and some others'] position and Snow's [mine, and I haven't kept track of the others'] are really clear.

If you don't feel under attack, that's good. Your last posting seemed as if you did. I really have no comparison with other forums, other than Sony's L.C. Board when some of us here used to hang out there. Other than that, your 'comparison' is better than mine. So, if there's a current state of 'forum culture' that causes you to want to take a break from that all, I can understand that.

It's been a long time since you and I have engaged in anything that might be considered conflict; so I trust that you'll [perhaps] go away a bit, but then will return, and I'll be glad when you do.

If you missed the "4 women and a couple men," it's all the better 8) .

Take care, Tchoc, and hope to see you feeling refreshed, soon :D .

Love,
Lizzy

Tchoc,

If you're watching, here is a prophecy written by Michel de Nostradame some 450 years ago. It was written as an Epistle to Henry II:
...at the eve of another desolation
when the perverted church is atop
her most high and sublime dignity...
there will proceed one born from a
branch long barren, who will deliver
the people of the world from a meek
and voluntary slavery and place them
under the protection of Mars.
...the flame of a sect shall spread the
world over...
There is always hope - even in these ancient scrawlings! We can be stupid, all of us, but we can mend.

In peace

Boss

Listening to Margaret Atwood is always illuminating. She is so sharp and very funny, at times.

As one of LCs contemporaries, I guess one couldn't expect much less. She's up for the 'big' prizes all the time, but fails to get them. Maybe, this year. I believe I said that last year.

OK. I have to make a list, now. I had :

One Dumbo
One personal attacked
One that I-don't-like-so-this-is-why
A full forum of idiots

I am amazed by the amount of creativity it takes to invent all this out of my posts.

For the little history, I never ever have those ideas about somebody here. What can I do? What can I write that will not be twisted that way? I feel I have no power over this.

I wish you invent good things about you, everybody, out of my posts, if you have to forge something out of them, 'cause at least it would be more near my reality about you. But. This is all between your hands. (or your ears  ).

Take that beautiful risk. OK?

***

For the more cartesians about you, you may be interested in Eric Berne's book - The Game people play. This just comes to my mind.

And also about emotivo-rational theory.

It explained how we think about an event and how to act on the process. This is not the event that create the emotion, it is what we are thinking about this event.

For example. You walk on a road and a car on the road does a turn in muddy water and you are spashed all over. You are mad, 'cause you think it was in purpose as an asocial gesture against you. You curse the driver. Then you see that your child was crossing running without looking to reach you, and you did not notice. The driver did. Now you would like to thank the driver. The event is the same. The feelings are not. What if, there is no child on the road, but the driver had another good reason and had no intention at all to do a asocial gesture? Sometimes, we can never know, but the conclusion we are jumping to are like if we would know for sure.

***

Lz, maybe, easily influenced like I am, it is my lecture about culture of forums, right now. How it seems, don't take the time to act wisely and nicely like in face to face intercourse.

I would like this to evolve, that's all. And also I feel the need to have some other kind of intercouses, like I said.

So.

I'm still here, but it is just bows, OK?

I'm out now. Goodbye! :D

Dear Tchocolatl ~ I don't think you realize just how many people here appreciate and love you. Your input is valued. I don't know if it's a matter of your English-language understanding, or what, but it's 'something.' I know that with the way you express some things, the meaning can get lost in translation; I'm wondering if that may be the case with what you read, as well[?].

Well, Hurricane Beta 2005 is a Category 3 now, and in "a few hours" is expected to make landfall, with serious destruction, in Nicaragua. We still have a month to go for hurricane season here :D :? .

Lz, this is very kind. I'm sincerely touched. Happiness is a warm post.

The language is certainly is for something sometimes in misunderstandings. But between you and I - and the satellite - "thank you" is not very difficult to read and/or translate. But. You know. Without body language voice, attitude, etc. (and even this does not have the same meaning from a culture to another - but in North America, it is not so different). My "style", however is a challenge even in French, and, even in my own culture, I'm sometimes asked (sincerely) if I come from another country. Maybe this is exactly why I feel such at ease in the multicultural context of this city, everybody is more or less used to cope with people who are often out of their well-known social context. I think this is why I like so much "The Stranger Song", as I feel it could be me, who is the stranger, never been the stranger, my dear. And I am always searching for the card that is so wild... this is not always comfortable for my entourage. 8)

I appreciate everybody here, so far, I guess it is (was?) not so transparent.

Yes. Hurricanes. Pfff. I do believe, though that our pollution is for something in the climatic problems. I feel useless sometimes when recycling my papers and cans. Then I think that any little action can make a big difference, like the image you like so much, you know, the butterfly effect.

For you, I hope the Goddesses are still at work!
