Hello,

I have just joined the forum this week. It's a blessing to locate a space to
share and celebrate with like-minded souls.

For me, the beauty of Leonard Cohen and his work is the timeless quality of it.
One can listen to his music and read the lyrics over and over and say, "yes, that's right"
as the words yield truths and comforts, helping to make sense of a world that is
always in flux.

The reports from his latest tour sound spellbinding. Look forward to seeing Len and
his band dazzle London, once more.

A beautiful posting, Alexis. Thanks for introducing yourself so well.
Leonard's performances are, indeed, spellbinding.
The eternal and timeless quality of his music and words are what I've always loved so much, too.
Knowing you will love seeing him in concert, welcome to the Forum.

Hey there, I'm also new in this forum and I'm lucky having found it. My name is Daniela, I'm 31 years old and I live in Germany.
Like you all I love Leonard Cohen and his music. Last week I saw him live for the first time in my live on his concert in Mönchengladbach. It was really great, it was my personal highlight of 2012 and I'd like to see him again. So does anybody know if there's a new tour planned in 2013 or 2014? Or is this his last tour? Please not!

When I hear his voice, everything is alright ...

Greetings from Germany
Daniela

PS: Sorry for my English ...

Hi Daniela, Welcome! Your English is lovely, no apology necessary. I doubt there will be concerts in 2013. As for 2014, anything is possible. Leonard has said that with the help of god, two policeman and the wheelchair's rust....he will continue performing. You were very fortunate to see him perform live.

Hi,

I'm new to the forum though not to Leonard Cohen. He's a staple in my life (if a poet and an artist can be classed a staple).

I was at his concert in Kilmainham last night. The whole experience was wonderful, even surpassed my hopes, and felt like 1 hour instead of 3 - great things always fly in. I'm going again on Saturday to fend off withdrawal symptoms till his next visit.

Oh please have no doubts, you can be quite sure the tour will carry through to 2013 and who knows, with Leonard's health being well, perhaps in to 2014.
I guess it all started for me sometime around Christmas 1967 and now, goodness me, it's.........2018 and over fifty years later.
No one ever listens to me. I might as well be a Leonard Cohen record.

Glamoura, it's more than a guess, it's an educated guess ;-)

But seriously, it has been noted on here before by people who know more about such things, that Leonard will be touring in to 2013.

The 2012 Tour is so physically and mentally demanding I thought Leonard would take most of 2013 to rest and recover.

Hello, I’m new to this forum. Well, I’ve joined a couple of weeks ago and since then I’ve been pondering the mysteries of the dark and cursed forces that have kept me from doing so sooner.
So, anyway, a quick introduction. I’m 37, and have been listening to Leonard Cohen’s music since I was 15. For me, Mr. Cohen’s music was the light that got in through the crack of adolescence (no drug reference intended, though in all fairness those were crazy days :-)). Brought me comfort through his songs, so I consider myself very blessed for having run into him in those years of doubt and questioning that we all go through. And to this day no other music touches me in such a profound way. If anyone – hard to believe I know, but it tends to happen every once in a while – tells me that Leonard Cohen’s music depresses them, I kindly inform them they’re not really listening.
Though I went to 4 concerts in Gent, due to the aforementioned forces I seem to have missed out on a lot of things. Still, better late than never, so I’m really glad I joined, and hope to meet many Cohenites down the road :) !

Linda.
