March 7 update: The tour announcement on March 11
Re: The tour announcement on March 11
"New cities will be added later this week, and Europe will follow as soon as the information is confirmed"
this incertitdude is driving me crazy... Any idea if "as soon as the information is confirmed" is weeks - days - hours?
Thanks!

Re: The tour announcement on March 11
Just 11 more hours(ish). Seeing as how I live in Atalantic Canada, and the first rumblings I heard of this tour said he'd start touring here, I'm excited. And if I don't get tickets for Leonard, well, at least Air Supply is coming to Halifax.

Jarkko, can you aproximately tell the date when you're able to announce dates and venues for Europe?jarkko wrote:About the March 11 announcement at midnight GMT/UTC (=March 10, 7 pm EST):
New cities will be added later this week, and Europe will follow as soon as the information is confirmed. So stay tuned for more details!
Will it be this week or later? This Friday my kids start holidays and we wanted to take them to the real countryside (no phone, no mobile, no internet...)

I would be happy to tell but I simply don't know. I hope it will be this week! (If not all venues, at least all those confirmed so far)

He did the same thing when I saw him on the '85 tour in London - two encores, two more renditons of Bird On A Wire.mikeotb wrote:I had the priviledge of seeing Leonard Cohen at his 1985 May 5: New York, USA - Carnegie Hall show. He openned with Bird On a Wire and closed with Bird On a Wire two more times.

Oh! I have planned around staying up past midnight tonight to see the info we're all waiting for with bated breath finally come online - but it won't be Europe info, only Canada!! Great for Canadian fans, or those who can travel to there.jarkko wrote:I would be happy to tell but I simply don't know. I hope it will be this week! Does this mean we still won't know about Dublin, or London, anywhere else in Britain until an unspecified later date? Jarrko, can you please let us Brits know when the info will be available for Leonard's gigs in Ireland or Britain, as soon as you have it - we will all be waiting...??
I'll keep checking this site, I guess!

Sue, read what I said in an earlier message on this same page about the European venues (when the schedule will be made public) :

I still can't believe this is actually going to happe. I don't think it will seem real until I actually see him walk out on stage!

Jarkko - you have the patience of a saint. I guess everyone (including me) is like a tightly coiled spring at the moment. Many thanks.

This is true, Deena. Especially when you know, that Jarkko is suffering from a bad flu for the third week in a row.

Re: March 7 update: The tour announcement on March 11
Unless I'm wrong, isn't 12:00am March 11 GMT actually 8:00pm March 10 EST, not 7:00pm? I mean, better to be early than late, but I'm just making sure everyone is on the same page.
Re: March 7 update: The tour announcement on March 11
That's my understanding, Vauxhall. Do you think I won't be here at 7:00, though? I'm still going to try to watch Leonard get inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. What a night! Even so, it's not like the TICKETS are going to be available until hours later... just the venues... for Canada! And, even then, not all of them. It's hard to know what to try for when you don't know what else will be available. I think I'll go get me some Chinese soup. My stomach feels ill. Not because of all this, though, just because... whatever has been going around.
