Good question, Snow. Looks like many of these have sent digi pix or screen shots with their messages, and all of them indeed have exactly 3.000.000
Must be either some kind of malfunction of the counter website or result of continuous reloading of the front page. If these members arrived let's at at 2.999.997 or so, and then started to refresh the page, the counter did not give them another hit but refreshed to the actual reading, created by someone else.
So the real 3Mth visitor must be the one who got the reading first, but as all those did it within a minute or two, the real winner will be impossible to identify. Probably we have to do a draw! (I will discuss this with some people with more technical skills).

Actually it might be 16, Goeffrey - I emailed Jarkko with, it must be admitted, a very poor photo taken in a fit of disbelief. So I'll have to wait and see if Jarkko decides whether it's a contender.

You are a good man, Jarkko, and being one of the few people who have traveled with you across Oslo in the back of a taxi at 4 o'clock in the morning - our bellies full of spirit - I believe I am qualified to make such a bold statement.

Well, Jarkko will know what to do, and he also knows there's not much meat in a horse's tail. He is the sort of man who would never say in a doctor's waiting room: "Hello, you keeping well?" So, relax. If you are telling the truth you have nothing to fear.

Please add me to a draw/check. I was sure I'm the winner.
You can do it thru IP check..
I sent the proof with the capture and the clock's time, and it's also a good proof.

I also sent Jarkko my screen print of 3,000,000.
The real answer is that none of us was the ONE.
The Leonard Cohen Files says the 3,000,000th visitor was on 15th February, 2009, and by my calculation this was 5 days prior to the adrenalin flood that overcame us all.
I just hope there is no delay in the release of the DVD and CDs.

Kind of interesting that some of these "winners" have made less than five posts... but well done to whoever won it, anyway!

I have asked the provider of the digital counter to do some detective work. Will be back with information.

In May I rented LC DVD I'm your man which was fabulous. Then bought Essential Cohen. I rediscovered LC after having his first album so many years ago. Kinda cool and timely to find this forum now. And just might go to his concert in Seattle although I swore off going to pricey concerts. It sounds as if the low end seats may not be worthwhile at WaMU theatre. True?

John E,

I am not sure I understand the point of your earlier post about some of the "Winners" (your quotation marks) having posted very little. Is posting a sign of worthiness or dedication? Maybe I should start posting more, then! For me, I simply enjoy being a part of this erudite community that shares a love for the words and music of Leonard Cohen. I really don't feel my thoughts are worth posting (as I may be proving right now!)

Just wondering.....
