Thanks for the info re picking up tickets. I also purchased tickets via the fan pre-sale, and stopped by the box office last week to see when I might be able to get the actual tickets. They didn't really know, and I did suspect it might not be until the day of the show. But I wonder: will 2,000+ people all have to wait in line at will-call the night of the show to get their tickets? I can see that being a major problem for getting in on time. Will the tickets be available all day, or only right before the show, or are only the fan pre-sale tickets will-call? I am fretting about this a bit because I want the evening to be perfect in every way...

Hi Pronek,
The info. that I've been given is that the fan pre-sale tickets will be available at the
theatre two hours prior to performance time and that personnel there should
be able to handle it. Don't fret it. Try to get there in the best mindset to
really take in a great concert.

Thanks, Steven. The Kimmel seemed to be able to handle the ticket-selling in a much more civilized way than Ticketmaster, so I was hoping they would be able to handle the will-call pick-up as well. I appreciate the info and it goes without saying that I can't wait until May 12th....

pronek - People who bought tickets online after they went on sale to the general public can go to the box office at any time now and they will print out the tickets.
It is only tickets that were bought through presale/fan club that will not print out prior to the show date and must be picked up at "will call" - just prior to the show.
Yup - I'm hoping for an evening that is perfect in every way too!

Hi,
Some of you may have seen the post in the News section about an acknowledgement
of Leonard Cohen's upcoming Phila. concert in a radio program tomorrow,
Fri., April 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time. The first half hour of the
show will have time available for listener calls about Leonard Cohen.
The show will stream at:
http://www.wche1520.com . The Friday following the
show may have some time after a guest interview segment for listener
calls, including comments from people who've attended the concert. That radio
show will also begin at 2:00 p.m.

Is anyone interested in meeting up for a beer after the show? If so, can anyone recommend a location?

For beers near the Academy Of Music at Broad & Locust, my top pick would be Good Dog between Walnut and Locust on 15th Street, one block west of Broad. My alternate suggestion, for those of you who smoke cigarettes, would be McGlinchey's between Locust and Spruce on 15th Street, also one block west of Broad. Both bars are within two walking city blocks from the Academy Of Music.
I cannot WAIT for tomorrow!

Hi,
Not very likely that I'll be able to make it out to "Good Dog" after the show.
Those who do go, have fun.
