No Mod on this Forum has stepped in to "edit/correct" with one of your comments in red to reassure loyal and deeply caring fans about the blatant omission of the Tel Aviv concert in the media reports.
I expect integrity from this Forum and I am disappointed.
The reason for the media error is a common one: the journalist has referred to an out of date tour dates list posted at LeonardCohen.com (the official Sony-run website) rather than the up-to-the-minute and more accurate Leonard Cohen Files site run by Jarkko:
http://www.leonardcohen.com/tour.cgi
UrPal: Regardless of the source of the error, I believe that the omission warrants a comment by one of the MODS. I would expect to see one of their often used short red edits e.g.
**Tel Aviv remains on the schedule

Tel Aviv remains on the schedule.
Just goes to show you how inaccurate the media is. The Tel Aviv concert never made it on to leonardcohen.com. However, anyone in the media who knows anything about concerts would have checked Pollstar
http://www.pollstar.com/resultsArtist.aspx?ID=159632
where the concert is listed or of course, most accurate of all, the LC Forum and Files.
EDIT: Actually, I see now why I didn't even notice the omission of the Tel Aviv concert. I became fixated on this:
"A video showing Cohen kneeling down several times during the performance and then keeling over sideways during a saxophone solo has been placed on YouTube on the Web by a fan."
The writer seems to suggest that Leonard's kneeling was a sign of Leonard's illness. Unfortunately, being uniformed about a topic obviously doesn't prevent someone from writing an article.

PS: Jarkko is in Barcelona and significantly limited in his internet access at this time.

Arlene - well anyone/everyone actually -
"After leaving Spain Cohen was due to perform next at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on Oct. 17, his Web site said."
That is the last sentence in an article released today by AP - the Associated Press -
So, unfortunately, the article with the erroneous information has shown up on
many websites. What you
can do - if you see it - is leave a comment (if that capability is provided) - giving information about the concert in Tel Aviv. I have done it on three different sites today.

Maulwurf, I referred to Chelsea Hotel No.2 and The Future lyrics.

So you clicked on that and gave it a view too then you post the link on here so others can click on it and give it views... I really don't understand some of you, you argue against the video yet comment on it a lot and post links to others ones which you've obviously viewed. Gees, if you don't like it then ignore it - what is the point in giving something lots of views and flagging it??? By giving it all those views you are not giving them a reason to take it down as it looks so popular! There is no sense in flagging something but then going back to the page again and again to comment. Just ignore it

"By giving it all those views you are not giving them a reason to take it down as it looks so popular!"
- utter nonsense. In my 3 and a half years on Youtube I've seen so many videos that had thousands and thousands of views getting removed, both good and bad. Including one of mine.

Please don't call my opinion 'utter nonsense' thanks. You may have seen that on You Tube but I have not and I've used it for years too. We can agree to disagree I guess

I just don't understand why you would post another link here. One minute people on here are slating the original poster of that video for uploading it and in the next breath calling someone a dork for stealing his video almost defending him. Nothing makes much sense in all this does it.
My main point is I don't understand why people click and view the page if it offends them so much - that to me does not make any sense. That is just my opinion only. I don't mean to fall out with anyone it just seems to me some folks can be quite hypocritical at times.

Yeah man, no hard feelings. (number of views doesn't mean a thing to mods really - it bumps videos to the top of the 'searched results' page, though - but they get deleted pretty easy)
In my defence - it wasn't that I was really 'defending' the original uploader and getting angry at the other for stealing his vid - I was actually thinking about my earlier post:
"I can tell you that unfortunately for one deleted video three others of the same 'controversial' content will appear. I've seen it so many times."
So even if the original video from Tom's link gets removed... God knows how many people saved it to their computers already, with one of "downloadfromyoutube" programs and will upload it later. Nah, I give up.
All the best to UK from Eastern Europe.

I agree with the person who said it was tasteless to put it up, but would be censorship to take it down. It's not in the nature or mission of a site like youtube to respond to matters of taste except where laws (e.g. child porn) or site rules (e.g. adult porn) are broken. That said, putting up Leonard's music against his wishes is a copyright violation and a request to remove the offending clip by Leonard's representatives would get it taken down promptly. So perhaps Jarkko (if he agrees with these sentiments) can get in touch with Robert Kory and get it removed.

I am uncomfortable being part of a forum that advocates censorship. There are many in this world who would censor and ban Leonard's words in song and prose.
Who decides what is censored?
Those of you who are uncomfortable veiwing the video of Leonard collapsing have an opportunity to do a self-examination of why that makes you uncomfortable.
It is your discomfort and no one else's.
I will fight for the right for you to express it!

Hi Tom, you will have to put another link into your request to flag. It has quite disgusting comments, some of them have been removed by youtube already.
I really do hope, that Leonard must not see this.
Hopefully, he soon will be fine and at good health again.
Amrei (who has flagged both clips)
