In another thread I have said that this year we don't have (to our best knowledge) any "local" news for our Irish friends, sorry.

Jarkko says, on "Dates for us" thread, that UK tour "will not be announced anytime soon" . Now, in mid-April, isn't that very encouraging ?!

Well...
Jarkko has said (in his latest post in the Montreux section) that we can expect an entire UK tour. OMG, as my teenage daughters might say. Well, it seems we're going to be well and truly spoiled.
Jarkko actually said "We are still waiting for 2-3 concerts in the mainland Europe, and then, finally, the whole UK tour. However, we do not know when those will be confirmed & announced (well, the UK tour probably in May)."
I wasn't interested in the O2 gig (too big) but would have been happy with yet another Dublin or wherever...so was hanging on for some little titbit...obviously we're not going to get another string of dates at something like Manc Opera House, or even Buxton opera House!but there are still major gaps in the Europe itinerary. I was hoping for something, anything, in the UK...but 'a whole UK tour'?!
let's not get our hopes up too high - it may mean 3 or 4 arenas, but it's far better than nothing!
Also, if Patti Smith can play Scarborough, anything can happen!!!!
I can not wait.

Jarkko, you're such a tease! My hope are now definitely high. Am hoping for theatres, rather than arenas, but anything will do.

Many moons ago (in the Hope for the UK thread?) I said I'd love to see Leonard at Birmingham Symphony Hall. Well we can all dream, can't we?

Leeds Arena was always likely I thought. They're trying to get some big hitters in there as it's new and there's no doubt that Leonard can sell that place out. I'd also say that the overheads are cheaper than a lot of other arena artists, like say Lady Gaga and all that crap.

Not as faceless as the old arenas either and good view from all seats and I live down the road!!!

Still, I hope for nicer venues. It's a good idea if this tour was to be an arena tour though definitely. Leeds City Varieties would be nice huh? Opera house again in Manchester or maybe Bridgewater hall. RAH or Barbican in London? Sage Gateshead. Really nice "small" venues would be a nice way to round off this revival. I can't see another huge tour can you? He has his big show in the UK, so smaller dates would be really nice and probably 1 more arena further north. Hopefully not Manchester Arena!
