Discovered a little problem!
The Ship stops serving food at 4pm!!
Should we change the meet up to Whitelocks which is nearby in Turks Head Yard LS1 6HB.
I think people would maybe like the option of grabbing a pre concert bite to eat.

I'll have to be guided by others Sue. Never been to Leeds before.
But I'll be there on Saturday.

It's just off Briggate, the alley for Whitelocks is just a bit further down from the alley for the Ship.
Was just thinking people might want food.... fancy stopping serving right on tea time...

How about we meet at the Ship Inn as planned, sample the beer there and then take a short walk to Whitelocks?
For anyone arriving later, if you walk down Briggate look for Carphone Warehouse shop and you will see a sign for Whitelocks directing you down the small alley alongside.
Stan I think as long as we get a beer and food and a good meetup we will be happy

Sounds like a plan to me Sue. My train gets in about 2pm. Gives me time to charge my batteries. (both mine and my mobile!)

Does anyone know if the Hilton is walking distance from the train station? And then are these pubs walking distance from the hotel? And then how far is the arena from there? Sorry, so many questions but I do like to have an idea of things, lol.
Already having sleepless nights with the excitement building up!!

Hi PP,
Do you mean the Leeds Hilton, or the Doubletree by Hilton? Looking at the map and the hotel websites, both are easily within walking distance. I'm staying at the Hilton, but I know others on here are at the Doubletree. The arena, by the looks of things, is about 20 minutes walk away from the centre. The pubs look pretty close by as well. But then again, I could be wrong.

Never been to Leeds, but consider myself handy with a map!
Counting the days.

We are staying at the Hilton Doubletree.
The hotel is within walking distance of the station, there is an underpass route.
If I was going from the hotel direct to the arena I would probably take a cab although it is walkable.
However the place suggested for the meetup is about half way between the hotel and the arena, so it will be an easy walk to and from these things.

I know what you mean Stan. I thought I'd seen him for the last time in June at the O2. Can't believe how fortunate I am getting this opportunity.
Roll on Saturday.
