Tom, does this mean that there'll be even more lovely young ladies for you to impress as you go about your daily, and now famous, lifestyle? We all get 15 minutes of fame, and you're 3 hours ahead of the rest of us. :D Well done. Did you get to the Zen Weekend yet? (why not!! )

Dear Byron, I am happy with one young lady... ;-))

As for the fame, well, Leonard obviously needed me to get his minute on TV in this part of Europe:-)))))))))

[Ha, just joking - his fame is obviously such that they immediately took him to daily culture news. Also, so far we have about 30 news-sites and daily newspapers bringing the news about the edition, plus dozens of local radio stations and musical sites. The parts of the book are also going to be published in 5 chapters in leading national daily newspapers, very soon.]

Thank you to you all... It was the work of love, as money I will get (like, in 10 months) is ridiculous and the publishing industry is not quite nice (just the profit ... but I simply was doing it my way, without asking  ) ... As for the TV, I simply did it, and I didn't watch the broadcast; I am not quite fan of TV nor do I think I have photogenic face. I simply did it for Leonard's advertising:-) So my approach was, like, "hit and run", I mean, say it and get out of here...

Well done Tom.

Your modesty is a lesson for us all.

I remember telling Laura on Hydra that perhaps she should stop looking for a rich Italian husband as I was sure that you would be famous and maybe even rich one day.

But alas I fear my matchmaking efforts may well have fell on deaf ears.

Ken, WHEN did I say italian?! Any (handsome and rich) man is good right now; and two are even better, obviously!

Tom... you don't like yourself lately?!
Laura

PS: Ken, you are very cruel. I almost twisted my face muscles trying not to laugh out loud at work.

John and Lizzy

I'm not quite sure that my abandoned loaf should have a place on this thread, however......................

Thankfully on my return I discovered that I had put the loaf back in it's plastic wrapper before dashing out of the house all those weeks ago.

Somewhere on my travels I met up with a nice Swede who worked in a food microbiology lab and he told me that with it being wholemeal it would go very soft and very green, and he was spot on. Very green and very soft it certainly was.

With closing the wrapper, more by habit than design, all the nasty goings on had been contained inside the wrapper.

So it went into the bin along with my invite to the Richard Goodall gallery opening which I had missed by 2 weeks.

Thanks for the microbiological update. Happy to see you don't have to sign off as Roachfully or Rodentially yours, Ta Ken.

Hi Tom,

Congrats from me as well! Now you can add "autobiographical translator" to your other titles of scholar & translator (and all around good guy!).

And Ken, sorry you missed the gallery opening, but something will be posted shortly from this side of the pond (just waiting to be sure you were home from your travels).
