nobody is posting any more haikus. Though this was one of the topics i liked the most....
So i'll try to give good example by posting some of mine again. So when you see mine... Surely you will post some of yours whitch are much better....

What fragile flowers
greeting the appearing spring.
snow ran from the sun

The sea is dancing
in the wind's stormy violin-
exquisite ballet

What a peaceful respit, you have brought with your haikus, Greta! Thanks :D !!!

So appropriate, with your Haiku, that the musicians on the Titanic continued playing their own violins to the end. It seems they brought the wind's own instrument into the sea. As I've watched the ocean, during windy times, it really is like a ballet. Very beautiful reference.

"Snow ran from the sun" ~ :) and fun.

I've not practiced much with Haiku's, but I would never presume mine to be better!

Hi Susanne :D ~

I just saw your explanation for diving into the blue. I can sure relate to that feeling on those kinds of days, too. Thanks for your clarification!

Love,
Elizabeth

Greta~

I certainly hope you stay "obsessed" with Haiku, you have such a gift for them! Just keep posting; we'll keep enjoying. Maybe you'll inspire some more to try -- trouble is, you've set the standard high. :D

Love,
Makera

Dear Greta ~

There have been so many beautiful Haikus here. I agree with you. I would love to see more from others, too. I hope you continue with your own beautiful ones, and that others will return with more of theirs. I would love to see more from Witty Owl [written with such precision on the world he ventures into daily!], Susanne's [with her German surroundings], Richard's, Taigaku's, Andrew's, Byron's, TC's! All of you haiku writers have brought so much pleasure :D !

Even with my unskilled, but willing :D , attempts, I found writing them to be very meditative, like "word meditations." I wonder if this might be part of where your "obsession" comes from :) . Their end result is a kind of peacefulness ~ their visual, written form; the sound as you read them; and also the process of writing them. I don't know the deepest history of their origin, but I wouldn't be surprized if a written meditation was part of it.

Please keep writing yours ~ and another request for others to return with their own, uniquely beautiful ones 8) :D !

Love,
Elizabeth

I, too, agree: We should all post more haikus!

So, with disregard for quality I hereby give you my latest, hastily composed piece of serene desire...

Your arm a pale outline of
Skin against the night
Oh, love light as air!

Very evocative and truly lovely, Taigaku :) . Thank you for being the first to continue this wonderful thread.

You will not believe this. True synchronicity works.
I have just this very afternoon brought my good lady wife home from hospital, where she underwent surgery to her wrist.
Her left arm is indeed, and in fact, a pale outline, made of plaster of paris, and it remains light as air in a sling around her shoulders.
Spooky or what?
Taigaku, please do not be offended by my interjection in this thread. Your haiku is a haunting piece of work and most welcome on my computer screen. Please send more. Please.

I have always loved the Haiku form. And several of these are excellent

Charles!

That's not a poor attempt :!: It's clever, it's very graphic, and it's true! I love the image.....the little troopers that they can be, those troubles  ! There have been periods in my life where I've lived your haiku :? . Do another one..... :)

Taigaku and Charles
both of your haikus are exellent.

Taigaku, you say that it was hastily composed....It might be so but... I don't know about you but for me it's best not to think to much but to write quickly what comes into mind- you wont start thinking how it sounds -it's just pure emotions, feelings

Charles, in my opinion your haiku is not poor at all. I actually like it very much and it is just like Lizzytysh said- very graphic.
