Could I perhaps know this gentleman? May not have got her number, but I agree, definitely not through want of trying. Maybe it's in the genes!!!???

Was that the waitress who took about 35 photographs? She clearly did want to remember this gentleman to whom you refer. And there was me thinking she was recording the art we had created on the tablecloth.

Diane, no, 'twas another wench with whom said gentleman was stricken.

The lady what served us all with sundry morsels of a delicate Mexican persuasion (if I can say that word in this sentence?). The girl who brought the food. The waitress to one and all. The lass who struggles to exist on a minimum wage. The poor soul who nightly has to attend to all manner of human characters. The daughter of parents who may even now be wondering if she will bring home enough wages to buy a loaf of bread. The damsel who rebuked the attentions of the Knight in Shining White. Oh, I could write for hours on a subject such as this wherein the counterplay and discourse of two lost souls is studied in close and interested, disinterested, uninterested manner by the companions of the evening, but, I'll go and make a pot of tea instead...

Hi,
My photos at last, I’ve been grinning like a Cheshire cat since Sunday :D
Eric and Dave kindly took the photos, you guys are the best.
How appropriate that Leonard was wearing a flat cap in the north of England.
Warm regards
Liz.

Simon,..There is no question that He's a Blue.
I 'worked' the door that p.m. so to speak, and He enquired of my
beautiful daughter, Kerry...What is that badge?
She, bless her replied, "have a look at my Dad's," He took further
inspection of me, and without kneeling, said the immortal words.......
" a thousand Kippax deep. "
Anthony H. is a closet Blue..ask him .

And 'Adios mis amigos' at the end of the evening. See you all in Dublin on 27th - Diane, Margaret, Eric, John, Shay and yourself Red Poppy, if you can make it. Any others going to see Anjani in the Tripod or at the Midlands Festival in Mullingar, please make contact if you want to meet up.

...and also Sherry, Sheila and Helen have confirmed they will be Dublin that night and would like to meet up 8) . There are also others who are going to see Anjani in Dublin, who might be persuaded to pop along early, or late. Damellon, is there anywhere in particular in Dublin we should meet, or should we just wander around until we happen to bump into one another?

I need to take advice on where would be good to meet in Dublin. Will try to get a recommendation for somewhere city centre and will let you know. Looks like we might be catering for Dubliners, pre and post-Tripoddists, and folk heading for Mullingar that night. Is your pilgrimage :( before or after this? Will this have an effect on your behaviour on the night :D ? Will I invite Joe? - premonitions of what lies ahead, for all of us, in the nursing home future? Then again it might guarantee Red Poppy's attendance.

Hi Everyone on this site!

The remarks made by YDF above I find very offensive ,I know that most of the true fans on this site are good people but I have noticed that some
like this particular one seems to not have much respect for Mr Cohen and for this site.

We are all here to make friends and talk about the Artistic talent that is Leonard Cohen!
But not to make these kind of remarks as YDF!
Yours in Peace and Love
Derek

Thank you for speaking up and addressing that directly. After so many years of it, I think a number of us have grown so weary of it, to the point of not even giving it more energy by responding to it at all. We consider the context aka the source and, likewise, likely know that Leonard or anyone related to him who might read it will do the same.

Still. You are right to speak up and say something, in the way that you have. It is very offensive and beyond the pale. The vast majority of us here do have the kind of respect for Leonard that you speak of... still, there are newcomers here who may question that when no one says anything in return.

So, thank you for saying something, Derek. You're absolutely right.

Young dr. Freud wrote:Glad everyone had a great time. Nice photos. But those are two seriously underfed people. Poor Anjani has obviously given up the foie gras in order to be as tiny as Leonard. What a shame!

YdF
Hi Lizzy,

This is the other remark which YDF made which I didn't really like!

Maybe this guy should apologise or not come to this forum again!!!
