I have again to repeat that we don't have more information about the advance booking for European concerts. I am sure we will know early enough which venues possibly will be included - so that an announcement on The Files and here will give you time enough to get ready. - Probably the tour management also first wants to see how the pre-sales to Montreal and Toronto go! Instinctively I would expect that there will be no pre-sale for the big open air festivals with tens of thousands of tickets. Some of those - like Glastonbury - also require pre-registration of people who plan to buy tickets later. Even if there is no advance booking, we will post information, venye by venye, where to get the tickets and when.
Please visit this page on the main site for updated information:
http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com/tour2008-1.html
Next step: we will get more Canadian dates soon. I cannot estimate when the August concerts will be added.

Thanks for keeping this thing going. You have the patience of a saint and the organisational skills of a highly intelligent octopus.
Please can I ask that you make your personal post number 2222 a good one - no good reason that I can put between words.
Speaking entirely selfishly, a pre-sale password for the Manchester dates slightly ahead of Friday (if the advertised online public sales date is accurate) would be good, but if that is not to be I'll have a stressed out Friday morning with anxiety on my mind (as if life weren't already pressured enough) like everyone else in the Cohen-lovin' universe. I'm prepared to run with the field. Just feeling a bit knackered, and the need for a bit of a lift rather than an additional close-cropped social "target date" on top of the work ones right now.
Cheers anyway. And keep taking those midnight coffee breaks! You're clearly a bit of a hard-living geezer yerself

To my knowledge, there is no such thing. I think you only have to be a member here on the forum to get the passwords.

It's in the national press and looks like a free for all come Friday 9am
Yes, it's all a bit of a red herring, eh? No fault of anyone on this forum, nor, no doubt the Cohen management, but by the time the touts get their booty, and the lucky rest - well, it's pot luckfor the rest of us, new or old forum members.

I cannot contain myself, I am in Scotland and Leonard hasn't been here since 1979. It is twenty nine years since I set eyes on the master of love. I will sit up all night to make sure I get a ticket. My whole family love Leonard, my kids, my mum, even my neurotic dog Alfie tilts his hairy ear. My partner is treating me, haven't told him they are £50 each yet. Work on that while waiting for the credit card bill.
We should all yell Hallelujah in praise of the greatest wordsmith alive and his return to the stage.

Look for yourselves
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... AQ:US:1123 I sent him a message telling him what I thought of him.

Scandal, same here for wrestling tickets and big concerts, we have no chance. they can buy bulk tickets using multi forms so my techo son informs me. Then they sell them on ebay for massive amounts. Just believe in what goes around comes around.

Well, I haven't entirely given up hope that us Brits (and non Brits willing to travel) might get a password priority for anywhere in the UK/Ireland - I will keep on checkin' here thru Thursday 13th.
Pretty 'orrible to think we will be battling, after all this time watching and hoping, against touts, e-bay sellers, and random non-members to get tickets for anywhere in the UK/Ireland (and all the UK - except the festivals - and Irish tix go on sale at the same time and date on different sellers websites - Friday 14th 9am) - so the choices will be stark without any presales privilege...
I know you are giving us all the info you get, Jarkko, but I'm sorry that so far only Canadian bookers have been given presales and a password.
Ah well, I'll wait n see.
