The closest hotel is the Intercontinental, which is literally one minute's walk away. It's the place where G Bush stayed when he came here. So I suppose it's quite likely the band will stay there.

Thanks for the info. The Intercontinental is very pricey (especially so for the dates when the band will be in town), but having made the mistake of not picking the hotel where they were staying in Hamilton, Ontario, we missed many, many opportunities to cross paths with them. I was able to meet Mr. Cohen in the lobby of the hotel on the day he was leaving (thanks to my husband putting up with my quest) and get his autograph and three pictures with him!! Soooo, the Intercontintal is looking verrrrry attractive.

Fortunately I live in Vienna, so no travel costs at least....

hey people!

i was about to buy tickets for each of the two concerts, but unfortunately i was too late for the 24th, so i only got a ticket for the 25th. saved me some money though.
having been only in athens so far (which was an amazing gig) i still think about at least another concert to add on my lc-schedule. what about switzerland? anybody got a clue about prices/on-sale-dates?
btw: great to know there are some people out there in vienna (although many of the concert attendees probably will be "internationals") who appreciate someoone like lc, wasn't aware of that fact!

Hello to all LC fans and forumites and greetings from the isle of saints and scholars or nowadays the isle of rogues and robbers. Either way I just dropped in to say hello and how decent a forum I think this is. We have tickets for the Vienna gig, bought through the Koncerthaus website but to be collected at the box office I believe. It will be our first time there and I'm looking forward to it. As we'll be in Vienna for three nights I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how easy it is to get concert tickets to see some classical music on one of the other nights ? Or are such events booked out way in advance. I was also wondering if ye were meeting up for a drink somewhere before the gig ? I'll be wearing the famous blue raincoat, maybe forget that. I'm sure it won't rain.

I'm still not sure if I allow myself to act on my LC addiction this time, it would require a lot of effort on my part as I'm in California. However - as my second homecountry is Poland- I might come to Europe around September. I should know more in about a month, and then -if you are interested- I would love to meet fellow addicts in Vienna

maybe those who didn't get tickets to one of the 2 gigs can meet at exactly the time of the concert they can't attend, somewehre near the concerthouse (maybe it's not entirely soundproof, i am gonna check that...)

I'm concerned about my ticket for Sept 24th. I ordered it on July 21 from oeticket.com and received confirmation that day that it would be sent (by registered mail) within a day or two. I have yet to receive it.

Has everyone received their tickets? Perhaps I should get in touch with oeticket this week about this.

for anyone who is having similar issues:

I phoned oeticket. I was asked to wait one more week for the ticket to turn up (it was posted on July 22 so i don't hold much hope for it arriving now).

If it has not arrived in a week they will make enquiries with post office(s) to try and track it down. If it has been lost they will issue a new ticket.

Oh I've my fingers crossed now.

Crisis averted.. postman attempted delivery of tickets this morning, I just have to go collect them at the delivery office now: )
