Hi everyone, I stumbled across this forum by chance recently and have been reading avidly for concert details!! I was ecstatic today to read of a date at Edinburgh Castle (I live 7 miles away) only to check the calendar and realise that is when we are on holiday (sunny Lincolnshire with my 2 young kids!). I am absolutely GUTTED - the Castle is a fantastic concert venue and I can't believe I'll be building sandcastles instead of being there.

My only alternative is to travel to Manchester for the Friday concert in June so fingers crossed I'll manage to get a ticket - my other half isn't a fan :!: so I'll have to travel on my own and stay overnight!!

I've been a Leonard Cohen fan since the Seventies, courtesy of two older brothers and never thought I'd be able to see him live - hope to see you in Manchester!

I just called up the O2 Arena but they don't yet have any information about the July 17 gig.

Just checked http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk too - no info on UK gigs but says that tickets for Dublin 14 June go on sale at 09:00 (UTC) this Friday!

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008 - More UK venues?

Please can you confirm whether any further UK dates will be added to the Tour?

Have seen him every concert in gb except isle white.
Never been to Manchester whats it like.
Hate o2 as so large and impersonal.
Any one remember the 'lady midnight' lady London. Was it Hammersmith?

Edinburgh, wow. Given I was willing to travel across the globe to see him, 2 minutes from my doorstep is just unreal!

The tour should be called skipping Finland tour 2008-2009. Every other scandinavian country but not Finnland? Where's the trick here??

Ugh, the O2!

tickets for Denmark on sale from apr 17

I just checked on the billetnet.dk site, and they are advertising that the ticket sales for the Copenhagen and Aarhus venues will commence apr 17 at 10.00

Historically these high profile concerts seel out quick. So my guess is that at 13.00 both venues will be sold out, if not before (some concerts sell out in 20 minutes)

Hey yeah! I remember the 'Lady Midnight' lady - she kept yelling out in a really raucous voice requesting said song. Don't think he actually sang it though. Memories...that must have been 78 or 79? Yes, Hammersmith.
Agree with you re. the 02 but frankly, I'd go see him anywhere. I'll be happy to get just one ticket to anywhere...although I'd like my friends to be able to join me, obviously.
