If they're anything like GDP, they're probably snowed under with enquiries and refund requests.Merganser wrote:no response yet, nopaddieu wrote:merganser - any luck ?

I figured there was probably a lot of activity, so I'm going to give them a few more days before contacting them again. I never got an email from them explaning about the concert rescheduling, though, and when I view my order, it still says March 3rd for the concert date.Mabeanie1 wrote:If they're anything like GDP, they're probably snowed under with enquiries and refund requests.Merganser wrote:no response yet, nopaddieu wrote:merganser - any luck ?

Re: Tips to get refunds/credits
Has anyone else been trying to get credits for September from the French railway company SNCF?
Our Eurostar tickets and other journeys were all bought from them.
I wrote to them (in French thanks to a work colleague) but have still not had a reply. I asked Rail Europe, their UK subsidiary, for an SNCF e-mail address and was told that they do not communicate by e-mail and a reply to my letter could take up to three months! Is this the same company that gets trains from Paris to Marseille in 4 hours?
If anyone else has been in contact with SNCF please let me know the details how.
Thanks,
J

Hi mydoglorca,
I hope the following might help you.
Was this the address for SNCF you sent the letter to? This is HQ for SNCF
Guillaume Pépy
SNCF
rue du Commandant Mouchotte
75014 Paris
FRANCE
Tél.: +33 1 53 25 31 19
Web: www.sncf.fr
The chairman of SNCF is Guillaume Pépy and HQ is in 14th arrondissement of Paris (as in address above)
So perhaps the same letter to the above and one to the following might pay dividends?
Complaints and claims for refunds
Service Relations Clients SNCF
62973 ARRAS CEDEX 9
France
If you wish to make comments about the way in which your journey went or make a complaint to or claim a refund from the SNCF following the purchase of a train ticket, please contact the department in charge of After-Sales services at the address below.
If your complaint concerns the purchase of a train ticket, please enclose:
* Your 6 letter file reference,
* Your original train tickets,
* A photocopy of your bank statement showing the debit related to the purchase,
* Your compete name and address (name, forenames, address and telephone number).
This department only deals with completed requests by letter.
I hope the following might help you.

I guess it all started for me sometime around Christmas 1967 and now, goodness me, it's.........2018 and over fifty years later.
No one ever listens to me. I might as well be a Leonard Cohen record.

Many thanks for this.
It was the address in Arras that I wrote to, enclosing the tickets. I think I will give them a bit longer to reply and then write again copied to the Paris address.
One thing on my side is time. I do not need to book the September journeys until June.
Best wishes,
J

Re: Tips to get refunds/credits
So funny thing, apparently _some_ emails from FNAC & GDP get into my inbox, and other emails get caught by the spam filter.paddieu wrote:merganser - any luck ?
This was resolved a week or so before I thought to investigate my spam folder.
Oh well, at least it's resolved.

Re: Tips to get refunds/credits
Hi All,
I bought my tickets from Gerard Druout productions for Strasbourg, and received no notification that the concert was cancelled, only discovering that there wouldn't be a concert when we arrived at the stadium to find it in darkness. I had bought the tickets as a Christmas gift for my mother. Besides the immense disappointment, having travelled from Ireland to Strasbourg, I am significantly out of pocket for the flights, hotel and tickets. I couldn't believe that there wasn't even an email to let me know the concert was cancelled, and now they won't respond to the emails I have sent seeking a refund of the €256 for the tickets. Does anyone have a better email addresses than ifo@gdp.fr ?
Any help much appreciated.
Rebecca

Madame, Monsieur,

Re: Tips to get refunds/credits
Refunds are not always applicable in all companies. Some will view it as just a waste of time. For us who had already spent amount of money or were being deducted in our credit cards, we can actually say that we should be intelligent enough so that what we have spent won't go in vain. We can sell the tickets to another person before the date of any event. We can also sell the reservation to a friend who is also planning to have some trip to the same place.
