I live on the lincolnshire/ Cambs border and am thinking of driving to Machester to try for good seats on release 10 am Friday tomorrow.
Any LC fan interested.
Thought of offering to pick up tickets for others but too risky.
It would be a free lift first come first etc.

Could you pick me up in Donegal...?

serously though, I'd check that the box office will actually have tickets available, & don't just refer you to Ticketmaster... they were denying all knowledge earlier this week, and it's not on their website...
you may be right, I may be crazy.... but it just may be a lunatic you're looking for...

People, the more that some of you express a desire to buy tickets whatever the price, the more inflated the eventual prices will be from the touts. Try and keep the tone down. You're feeding their wallets and bank accounts!

Thu 18 June is a special night for Guardian readers. To find out how to purchase tickets for this night see The Guardian on Fri 4 April 2008.

What!! That is the night I had decided to go for in Manchester and I was really miffed when I saw that Ticketmaster had omitted to mention it on their site - thought it was another measly scam for them to be able to announce with a flourish that an extra night ( 19th) had just become available 'by popular demand'.

Guardian readers get a deal?? Do you have to belong to the Guardian readers club or something - did the article say?...please?

Hi Don't worry about this Manchester Guardian readers thing for the 18th. TicketMaster is still displaying ticket sales for that night, on sale from tomorrow morning...

Ever since the first rumblings of this tour started back a couple of years ago, I've been trying to stay as pessimistic as possible. I figured it would never happen, so there was no use getting excited. But now the announcement has been made!!! Now all I need to do is nab some tickets and figure out how to afford them. Thankfully, I'm off on the Tuesday of the presale, so hopefully I can get it taken care of. With the tickets bought and paid for, then I can finally allow myself a little sliver of optimism :D

Been a fan for nearly 20 years, and I'm within spitting distance of 30. Not only is it wonderful music to enjoy by oneself, but also remarkably warm and social.

Take care
