From my perspective Byron, Being an Australian, living there until recently, and listening to Leonard for ONLY the past 10 or so years, makes my contibutions to this forum, proabably usless for most of you. Why should I waste your time with my uselss dribble. UNtil now there was no reason. 32 new friends can't be a bad thing now can it??? Touts will do whatever they need to do to make money, we can't stop them, as much as I would love to. THEY ARE THE LOWEST FORM OF HUMAN IN MY EYES!

Thats all from me. Sorry to have intruded.

I joined not long ago. I heard the news of a tour in january and have been lurking ever since. I joined in February to make a post about my anticipation of the announcement of dates.

We are all fans, regardless of tenure here at the forum and that is the intention of the presale isn't it? for the fans?

I don' think anyone is belittling anyone and I wouldn't rate myself as a "worshipper" at all. An admirer yes - worship - no!

And I remain cynical but there you are!!!!! ;-)

I can accept that some new members in the last week or days are genuine admirers, but how on earth is Jarkko or whoever will be dealing with tickets allocation be expected to tell these from the opportunist ticket touts

I hope there will be a decision based on date of registration here if there is a big demand, and everyone else will use the usual methods when they go on sale. I hope all real fans will eventually get to see Leonard somewhere.

Oh, my purposes are entirely mercenary. I need tickets, and I will have tickets.

Consider me a 10 year old fully qualified Chartered Accountant. Or some second cousin on a library computer. Whichever you'd prefer.

Byron - you must be losing your touch - or else it's those ants. Between this and the Tour 2008 thread, I have at least 152 new friends, though I think I'm managing to lose them at a fierce rate.

This thread about the March 11 announcement and pre-booking has been moved to a temporary new section that is visible only to registered members who are logged-in. Guests will not see this. Let's keep the discussion only here (new threads can be started).

The advance sales will be carried out by professional ticket selling organisations - we will give links to those (venue by venue) and the password(s). The tickets will be sold using "first come first served" principle, and there will be no selecting of any kind. That's the only way to do it. No one can say that X is a better fan than Y.

Thank you J... You cannot ask for fairer than that.
Here's hoping that genuine fans of Mr Cohen get to see him and don't end up having to re mortgage their houses in order to buy the tickets from touts!
Doing a great job here.

There are people who have just joined the only thread they have been on is this one. They have not contributed to the rest of the forum threads they only have eyes for the ticket sales.

You are not intruding why not join in other threads. People like Gavityhill have only been here for a very short time but have jumped in and joined the "forum" not just this thread. But for some reason  most of the new members are just going to this thread. The whole forum is dedicated to Leonard not just who can get tickets first.

If I fail to get tickets in advance I will get them one way or the other it is not the end of the world. I am still high on meeting Leonard twice last year along with other forum members. A lifetime ambition fulfilled. So please all you newbies remember there are other parts of the forum and you are most welcome to join in.

Since the announcement on Sunday January 13th, those people amount to just under 900 new registered members. With more registering all the time. :?

This is absolutely fantastic news! Thanks to Leonard for doing this!

One question: if these tickets are non-transferable, does that mean that I have to sit alone in my fancy seat while my wife (who does not have her own account here) is stuck in the non-fancy tickets with 'the masses' ;-) ? Or can I buy a pair of tickets, one for myself and one for my wife?

I can appreciate that this is a huge logistical challenge.
