One of the funny moments I will never forget:
Lenny forgot the second verse of Suzanne, started with the third verse, stopped, 3 seconds of silence, and continued with
JESUS WAS A SAILOR...

Yes - I noticed that too - but to my surprise he handled it very professionally

On the new "Songs from the Road," the normal order of the second and third verses is switched.

HI Dannyc
I was just wonderin' if you edited your videos of the dortmund concert yet?
If they are any way as good as your photographs, we are in for a treat.
Look forward to seeing them here soon

Thanks for that Henning
It's kinda funny, but I think most of us want to watch the videos of the concerts that we were at in person. it brings shivers to my spine to know that I was actually there and these amazing videos just make me relive the moments.
I watched Bird on a Wire again tonight. Leonard Cohen really was such a gift to us who were lucky enough to be born while he was alive ( Lou Reed said it i think when he was inducted in to the Hall of Fame).
The years have passed but I have never come across anyone as authentic to himself as Leonard.
Thank god or whoever for electricity and technology and all that stuff that just lets us bring him into our living rooms no matter where we are in the world.
I look forward to an exciting old age now with Leonard Cohen for company

I think Leonard has shown us all that ageing is only a physical thing. The important thing is to stay young at heart.

Wow, jdhayes...that is fantastic news. Leonard number one in Ireland too.
When Henning was showing Trish and I around the stadium, he was saying that he followed a silly team

, I think he meant that as a joke.
Congratulations Borrusia Dortmund. Thrilled for Henning and Florian, another bvb fan I met at the meet up.
My son is a Liverpool supporter, so my heart is going out to him at the moment.
Here is a photo of Trish and I on our BVB tour
Ute... what does your comment mean ?

....
Oh i just googled sigi held.... it was in german but i think he was a coach of bvb too was he? so you must be a bvb fan too Ute if he was your neighbour

Siggi Held:

To understand oblivion's word play:
"held" is not only a name, it is also the german word for "hero"

I saw Siggi Held play in the 70's when he was 40+ and I saw Leonard when he was 70+. What does age matter when you have the right attitude?

hi bernie, florian and JD,
1. we had a very nice franconian wine last night
2. siggi held was the first and only famous person from my worldwide unknown home-town MARKTHEIDENFELD
3. when i saw he was mentioned in the leonard cohen forum, i had to make a connection between those heroes
4. as a real franconian i would never be a bayern münchen-fan, so i prefer the bvb they deserve to be on top
have a very nice rest-weekend
ute
who of you
will be
in l.v.
