introducing tonedeaf

Post by tonedeaf »

Hi There:

Most boards have an "introduce yourself" thread. I didn't see one here, so I made my own.

Kevin is my name. I'm 39 years old I'm a life long resident of New Brunswick, Canada.

Music of all kinds has been a passion since...well since I was born I suppose. I can't play any instruments or sing (hence the "handle"), but I've always loved to listen to music. watching live performances is pure bliss to me.

The loud agressive music I loved as a youth has never left (it's great therapy to turn it up and just SCREAM every once in awhile), but I've come to appreciate loads of musical styles as I've gotten older. Blues in all it's forms is #1 with me. Folk music has always been around (thanks to my father). Gordon Lightfoot, Ian and Sylvia Clancy Bros & Tommy Makem, Both Rogers brothers are faveourites of mine. Traditional Jazz and Classical find a spot in my CD player from time to time as well.

Needless to say I'm chuffed beyond words about Mr Cohen's maritime tour. My partner and I are both thrilled to be able to see him perform in my hometown, and in one of the best live music venues in the country.

cheers.

Kevin

Born and raised in Moncton. I've been in Saint John for 12 years now.

How did you end up in Wales? I hear it's a beautiful country.

Ah, I have a ton of family in Moncton.

I'm doing a PhD at Aberystwyth University. And it is gorgeous!
