Support Act For Manchester

Hello,

Fairly new to this board - there seem to be many knowledgeable folks here so I thought I'd ask if anyone knew if there was a support act for Manchester confirmed? It doesn't say so on the ticket, but I've heard Damien Rice is supporting in Ireland. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks.

Irish radio is advertising Damien Rice as "exclusively" for the Irish shows, so thankfully we'll not have to put up with him in Manchester.... ;-)

Oh excellent! I'm not a Damien Rice fan either. To be honest I'd just be happy with more Leonard.

yep, more Leonard would be just fine for me too.... it's a long time ago now, but I don't recall there being any support during previous tours.... (but then, I can't remember what I had for breakfast these days   )

The only support I could handle would be Nick Cave!

To the best of my knowledge, Leonard has never had a support (unless you count the Isle of Wight Festival, where he was supported by The Doors and Jimi Hendrix!). But seriously, I would guess that Leonard only ever has supports at outdoor events, and that Damien Rice is something of a local hero in Dublin. I wouldn't be surprised if the shows end earlier than usual, so that Leonard can chill out enough to prepare for the following night's (and in many case's country's) show.

All good things, John E
