Western Canada/US Tour Dates/Fans?

I'm on the west coast and wondering why there have been no tour dates in BC, or in the states at all.

Is there any chance that there are enough of us in the Pacific Northwest to lobby for a show? Even a book signing, or any sort of appearance, would be amazing for me. I find the music deeply moving and would love any possible opportunity to share a room with him.

As a new member here you may not have noticed this has been mentioned already.
After this first leg of the tour Leonard and the band will take a break. The interview given to Macleans indicates a much longer tour continueing in the fall/ winter and into 2009. There is a thread around here here somewhere, but right now I don't have time to find and link it for you.

I have read through nearly everything, and am simply posting yet another thread about hoping that the tour comes to my neighbourhood.

I want to make sure that, if there is any chance information from this forum effects the decisions of Leonard Cohen and his touring band, my voice is raised for a concert in Portland/Seattle/Vancouver.

I'm also hoping to find fans in the area to talk to, as I only know of very few and it's troubling to me.

The tour management is very well informed of the requests from Western Canada and US. If everything goes according to the plans, the tour will continue in the fall in Europe, and in 2009 it will be your turn. Decisions will be made in stages, so there will be no official confirmations for a long time about the North American leg. First this summer tour in Europe has to be concluded, then we will find out what happens in the fall. Only after that the North American schedule will be discussed in the limelight. Just wait patiently.
