The Teeth

You were lamenting the loss of your teeth
Like Nature was some sort of very sneaky thief
And you talked about more of the profound
Silences without any hope of any divine sound

Getting past the slimy ledge of genetic freedom now
To the elephant graveyard bones of our slaughtered cow
Through the psychical manifestations of the astral plane
The pink elephants that wander through the drunk or the insane

A chance meeting, a hug and a discussion on God
As we meander sleepily through all the lands of Nod
Bones are the structure that provide the shape and the ultimate form
Teeth are the wisdom and the evolved standards of the norm

Look for the tooth fairy
The puppets are very glazy eyed and starey
Grind yourself into an irate and drunken frenzy of wonder
Listen to the chariots of the Gods in their spiritual thund

Calcium and the glum
The divine motivation and the actual hum
Skeletonal remains and the formation of the teeth
Divine retributations and the bases of the actual belief

Ah, George...you certainly bring back fond memories. I remember when your puppets were stuttering and futtering. Now they are glazy eyed and starey. Progress? I wonder. Your puppets are just like the forum these days. Glazy eyed and starey. No more lovely little battles between old antagonists. No more white-hot indignation sizzling through the ether. No more screamingly funny ripostes. No one hoisted on their own and or someone else's petard. No more duels to the death. Alas, no more stuttering and futtering.

Dear old Leonard sure knows how to bust up a joint. Just "Bless" it to death.

YDF,
Things have progressed. Time is a great healer.

YDR,
These days,I would rather smoke a joint, than bust it up.

I was inspired by Georges and YDF to compose - this is based on real-life experiences...

I stuttered and I futtered
But could not bring myself to utter
The words that we all sometimes mutter
"You M-----fucker!"

George,

My apologies. My memory is faulty. In your original work only the puppets were stuttering. Souls were futtering. And twiddling.

YdF

P.S. Kush, it's those real life experiences that produce such great works of art.

Ah thanks YDF. I try my best.....I was strivng towards a Cohenesque precision to identify a very real human condition that we can all relate to.

and yes...as I recall you or one of your relatives was particularly moved by the "wigless angels, stuttering puppets and the twiddling, futtering souls" in George's original masterpiece.

YDR,
Why not examine some of your dreams? U might find the twiddling puppets?

Kush, U are a kind person.

Georges.
