Is this true? Is this true? Is this true? Please, let it be true.
When and where will ticket sale begin?
I haven't begun to return back to earth after being in heaven all saturday evening during the Amsterdam concert. Now I can look forward to another trip to heaven in November. Life is beautiful.
Love,
Inge

They would be a nice suprise. I already bought a ticket for Oberhausen, but Rotterdam is my hometown.

Hi Maurice,
I've read on the forum that you also went to Amsterdam (me too). If you go home fast after Oberhausen, you can catch the Rotterdam concert just in time. Leonard keeps us busy !
I also read that you missed the songs from Dear Heather. I understood that Leonard will rehearse again in the weeks between the summer and fall tour, and add new songs to the repertoire. Maybe he will include one or more songs from Dear Heather?

Hi Inge,
I will leave early in the morning and attend the concert in Rotterdam. It's only 2 hours from Oberhausen to Rotterdam. I'm going by train.
I don't want to wait another 16 years.

It seems the tickets for Rotterdam are on sale now... But very expensive, and I don't know whether this is for real:

On the website of Ahoy Rotterdam there is no mention of an LC concert, so it's not confirmed yet. Be careful!

Has anyone been to a concert in the Ahoy before? What kind of a venue is it? How is the view from the seats, are they far from the stage? Which seats are the best? Or is it better to get a standing place in front of the stage? I would like some information from people who have experience with the Ahoy. There is a lot of information at the website of the Ahoy, but I rather have the opinions of people who have seen concerts there.
Thanks,
Inge

I have been to the Ahoy. It's a great big gymnastics arena in a very unpromising bit of Rotterdam (loads of concrete/souless shopping malls).... The venue itself has appalling acoustics unless you're on the floor in front of the stage. My advice would be not to go for an upper floor standing tickets as the sound is dreadful there with lots of echo. Make sure you're on the floor in front of the stage.

The tickets are not for sale yet. Some companies are already selling these tickets, but they even sell tickets for free shows, so I wouldn't trust them.
Last time I was in Ahoy was for Bob Dylan, which was very good, but you really have to be in front of the stage.

Thanks for the information. I will go for a place near the stage.

Really a pity, I was still hoping they were going to plan a fall concert in Carré

. Ah well, as said above, just get on the floor and the sound will be okay.

As far as I know
official sale has not started yet for Rotterdam/Ahoy.
However,I noticed that on the Dutch "Get Me In" website tickets are NOW for (re??)sale
at € 119,90 (standing floor).
Look at
http://www.getmein.nl/tickets/leonard-c ... 80420.html
By the way:I can't find the same tickets on the US "Get Me In" website.
Other strange thing is, that they still sell tickets for the
long cancelled Waldbuhne Berlin gig
PS:The yellow box with "KOPEN" means "BUY".
It's supposed to be a resale site related to Ticketmaster.
Has anyone experience with Get Me In?

What happened to the concert in Rotterdam? It looks like it's the only concert in November that isn't confirmed yet. And although tickets are on sale on some dubious sites, I don't see anything on the sites from Ahoy, Ticketmaster or Mojo. No mention of any concert of Leonard Cohen. Did he get lost in translation?

Oh this is great news. In the late seventies I wasn't allowed to drive a car yet and I went on a bicycle to a leonard cohen concert. And now once again I can go to a Leonard Cohen concert on my bicycle, living in Rotterdam not far from Ahoy. I've been to the concert in Amsterdam and in my mind I am still singing all his songs and telling everyone that the thing to search for in live is "ta doo dum dum dum....."
So next saturday I will be logging at ticketmaster at 10 am hopefully to get seats as near to the stage as possible.
