This is how I described the book on the Files (new page at
http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com/ihlen.html
Marianne Ihlen was 22 years old when she arrived on the Greek island of Hydra with Axel Jensen. After some time Axel left her and their young son for another woman. One day she meets Leonard Cohen who introduces himself and wants to sit at the same table. This is the beginning of a love story that would last throughout most of the 60's, and take them to Oslo, Montreal, New York, and again to Hydra. During these years Leonard Cohen wrote some of his best known texts and songs. The book is a highly interesting account of the 1960's and the international artist colony living on Hydra.

It was an interview with Marianne and the author, Kari Hesthamar, at todays morning show on TV. Perhaps you can see it here:
http://webtv.tv2.no/webtv/sumo/?treeId= ... d=&itemId=
You'll find it at the end of the show, about 2:47:45. Even if you don't speak Norwegian, you can enjoy her kind smile and also see some photos from the book.
