Review in the tabloid B.T.

The nearly 8000 in the hall behaved at times with a devoutness as if The Lord himself was standing on the stage.

Re: Copenhagen October 17
I know that most of you have attended at least half a dozen of Leonard's concerts, and some have attended dozens over the years....but, on a cool October evening in Copenhagen, I attended my FIRST
and I am still overwhelmed and attempting to sort out all the emotions. Our seats were not the best....left side, half way back and I had forgotten my distance glasses
....but the moment he ran onto the stage and the crowd roared I could feel the tears of joy coming! The next 3 plus hours were filled with more tears, standing and clapping until my hands hurt, shouting (and the women behind me shouting "we love you Leonard!"), and all the while being completely overcome by realizing that I am seeing and hearing Leonard in person! His elegance, humbleness, humor and joy of performing were matched by his awesome voice and the talent of every one of his musical entourage! He is sensual and captivating! As the encores came, I knew we were approaching the end. "If It be Your Will" brought the tears again, but then there is Leonard blessing us and telling us to keep warm, and even...maybe...perhaps....suggesting that there may be yet another time in Copenhagen!
For me, this was a crazy weekend. We left the US Thursday afternoon, arrived Copenhagen Friday morning, concert in the evening and then a 12 hour flight back to the US on Saturday. Next time will be in Canada or the US and I can't wait!
And, oh yeah, I did sort of like the concert in case you didn't notice.

Martin,
You to ask for comments on your photos... hmm, what can I say? - 'oh they're OK I guess, but I wasn't sure about the framing of number 12...?!'
Seriously... they're beautiful, as I'm sure you know. Most of us at the concerts had to make do with mobile phone images from half a kilometre away, which is not the same thing at all...
I especially love the one near the end of the slideshow - a medium shot of LC leaning forward in a bow, holding his hat in his hand and smiling against a rich red background. It captures his warmth, humility and sensuality and the feeling of intimacy he always creates however large the venue or however many thousands of people are present.
I'd love to buy one of your photos. Do you have a special 'Recession' price...?
(Just kidding - you seem to be a professional music photographer, and nobody expects you to give your work away. But I'd really love to have that red 'salutation' picture on my wall...)
Look forward to hearing more about whether they are available to purchase.
Thank you,
Habie
