Bird on the Wire by Johnny Cash. Atleast as low.....and accompanied by only guitar. It's a pretty haunting version.

Hmm... I'll listen to it. There are a few version of Bird on a Wire... they get lower and lower as you go forwards in time haha, most of leonard's songs are that way. When he does Bird on a Wire on the album "Cohen Live" it's pretty deep. On other's, higher.

Not as low as on Cohen live... but lower than some other versions I've heard cohen singing it on... Cash has got a nice voice too. Much different quality than Cohen's, but that's the way it should be. I like.

Nick Cave's Avalanche! Dunno if it so much low as DARK. Very dark... nearly disturbing. Really quite good.
