1 tix vs. 2 tix?
1 tix vs. 2 tix?
I only really need one ticket to the show but have found sometimes you get better seats when you select for 2 tickets. Does anyone know how the ticket system works? Am I better trying for 1 or 2, or order to get the best seats possible?
Re: 1 tix vs. 2 tix?
i think your chances of getting better seats in the assigned seating environment are better when ordering singles than doubles.

Thanks for your reply!
I thought so too, until I tried for some other concert seats on TM and get a good single seat...until I looked for a set of two and it gave me two rows ahead! I find that strange, no?

Hi cricketc - If you bought tickets yesterday through Ticketmaster, they were all over the place. I've never seen it so bad before, in the past a little variation because people were giving up the choice they were presented with, but yesterday was RIDICULOUS!

That's it - tickets are being released and the process is sort of "random", but strictly speaking it's always easier to get one good seat than two together. This is the reason I hate assigned seating in general - I always need a pair...

which reminds me of rcmh... just doing my head in

Re: 1 tix vs. 2 tix?
I suppose it is possible that the set of two front row seats for this other concert was being held while I was ordering my single seat. It just got me paranoid that Ticketmaster would prefer to sell seats in blocks of two or more as to not end up with a bunch of empty single seats in the first few rows?
My group isn't until tomorrow so I am ultra nervous about the whole thing!

that's naive, believe me...cricketc wrote:It just got me paranoid that Ticketmaster would prefer to sell seats in blocks of two or more as to not end up with a bunch of empty single seats in the first few rows?
So is mine. I don't think tomorrow will be too bad, tbh. Its the third block that scares me a lot.cricketc wrote:My group isn't until tomorrow so I am ultra nervous about the whole thing!

I generally get 1 ticket and i find its easier...
Boston is gonna be bonkers and NY will be a mess.... remember there are AMEX presales and then general sales. This feels like Spring Training Baseball Tickets. That was a sold out zoo..
If anyone can go to Waterbury, it's smaller and more compact and a better theater but its out of the way, and on a weeknight. Due to work, i cant make it... Its 3 hours from NYC and Boston...
I would choose that Show of all of them.... Better seating, small quaint theater...
Thanks My opinion..
Maybe its... get a seat.... whereever and worry about where you sit.
Paul Simon tickets were around the sound board.... I sat left of the Board at the Beacon and was surprised those guys were quiet... so you never know.... I will feel blessed to get into WANG and Radio City.....
My family is outside of Boston so i have a hotel room with mom and dad
