Tough luck in Vancouver

Post by wittykat »

I'm very happy for all those fans who have posted about getting great seats, but I've had horrid luck, unfortunately. GM place is such a large venue and I've only seen one concert there, had special seats in section 118 - and even that was really too far. For a Leonard Cohen show, it is really too big of a venue. But I had hoped to at least get decent tickets and have been having no luck with the fan presale nor the AMEX presale... I keep getting terrible seat options & am not sure what to do. I'd REALLY love to see the show and take my family too, I'm a HUGE HUGE fan, but my eyesight is pretty lousy, and even if it wasn't the only options I am being presented with are section 116 (18 rows back or so) for $163 and 115 (24 rows back) for $98, I suspect that the only thing possible to see are the TV screens, which kinda defeats the purpose. I'm just so disappointed. Well, heartbroken is more like it.

Any advice?

I'm in the same boat & hoping that at some point people will start posting that they have a ticket(s) that they cannot use. I bought a ticket for Boston, but like you, my eyesight isn't what it could be, so even though most people would consider my seat quite good, it's not close enough for me. I'm hoping to find someone with a Boston ticket that is way up front, then I'll sell mine (on the Forum, of course) and buy the closer one. Don't give up - just keep checking the board.

Thank you for your kind words of support. I hope we both end up with the seats of our dreams.

The sad thing is that I knew about the Vancouver show for quite some time and was insanely excited about it - didn't imagine I'd be in such a pickle. Here's hoping!

I just tried the AEG/radio presale. Best I'm seeing is section 104 - insanely far!

Okay, looks like my dream bubble of seeing LC has a tiny hole in it, that is getting bigger and bigger...and soon it will run out of air.
